"The author managed to weave instant tension and mystery from the get go. It was a balancing act that kept me guessing and made everyone look like they could be a villain which is on par with the great writers of mystery like Agatha and Doyle. I was jumping at every creak. If you like tension in every paragraph, both sinister and sexual, its written for you, but if you want vapid romance, look someplace else. I loved this story, but it has an 80's European artsy ending of a more a philosophical wrap up of leaving well enough alone and not fighting one's bonds than I was expecting. But I also understood how well the trap was set, so it was a good dose of realism in how humans don't always win just because something isn't fair."
