I thought the story would be spicier and darker than it is, based on the writers warnings, but it felt more like a cosy sunday afternoon read to me. "

"Time travel. Forced proximity. I was expecting a dark romantic drama based on the authors warning at the start. What I found in this book was an incredibly sweet caveman, consensual spice and a patronisingly naive female lead who spent a lot of time being concerned she would ‘take advantage’ of the caveman based on her (clearly incorrect) assumption that because she was from the future she was ‘more advanced’. Violent sections were clearly marked, so that is helpful if you like to avoid those. Some of the female leads thought processes were so bizarrely hilarious I actually laughed out loud. I couldnt really get into the drama because my mind re-cast this as a comedy. If the author intended this then well done. I ended up reading to the end for a laugh. There were a number of minor editing errors throughout ( eg ‘thrown’ instead of ‘throne’). "
