"Definitely one of my favourite enemies-to-lovies to date! Seth and Simon are just magic I actually sacrificed sleep because it was so good, and there was zero chance of me putting it down. The tension between the main characters isn't just palpable—it is suffocating. Simon comes off as a rich jerk, but he is secretly battling an abusive dad who can't accept the fact that he's gay. Then you have Seth, who has a heart of gold and deals with bipolar disorder. Seth genuinely believes that everyone has a trigger for messed-up behaviour. Watching them navigate this world together is everything. Simon is dealing with the confusion of being gay and having to hide it, while Seth is battling his own demons with his mental health. Yet, Seth still finds it in him to be there for Simon, showing him that it’s okay to be who he really is and not who his father wants him to be. The intimacy between them is a whole new experience for a gay relationship—it is raw and primal, but still filled with so much genuine love. My main frustration is that the book ends way too abruptly, just like with Jett and Cordelia. We luckily know they will feature, but there is no epilogue to guide you down from the high and the volatility of Seth and Simon. The book didn't seem rushed, just unfinished, like there are a few more chapters worth reading. It sort of puts you on the edge of your seat and just leaves you there, wishing you'd rather fall flat on your behind just to get more. Writing Style & Tension: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5/5) — Totally unputdownable. The tension is literally suffocating. Plot & Character Depth: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5/5) — Incredible representation of identity and mental health. Chemistry: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5/5) — Intense, messy, and so beautiful. Spice Level: 🌶️🌶️🌶️/5 — Intense and a total thrill to read. It’s raw and primal but still has so much intimacy and love.
