Chapter 1

I was ready to cook but I noticed something missing in my groceries item. I check on the several collections of herbs stored in designated jars, wishing there are bits to salvage for just a tiny piece but unfortunately, it's empty a tiny crumbs that are only left.

Pouted out of frustration thinking I'm going to drive a few hours going back to town within the rush hour to complete my ingredients and what is needed. It's a holiday and wanting to create something special, I cannot afford to miss this double celebration since it is also our anniversary with my wife and this holiday rush.

voice message :

"uh, babe sorry I might get home late I forgot a few things and some ingredients. In case you're wondering when you got home I'm fine don't worry Skits the fur lady is done on her food no more extra for her she's on a diet for now. She will be picked up by Sup Arah at seven o'clock, in case I come home. late. I love you see yah later bye!"

Tara is listening to the voice message of her wife while she's getting ready to go home with a smirk on her lips. Thinking, why she always does make a voice message what is that for? as she always finds her weird and cute in many different ways as tries to understand her wife Jaime.

Seeing the traffic lights turn all red and the road shifts into a long-lane parking space. Tapping her fingers on the wheels, Tara notices a woman beside the road sitting on the bench. She then recognizes her wife talking with a woman, studying their body language seems they both know each other. Tara was confused, all of the relatives and friends of her wife Jaime she met as she introduced them and met on their wedding day except for this lady she was talking to.

Looking at the signals as cars honk moving it went green and a faster ew seconds it shifts into red again. Still, her eyes didn't leave on the woman recognized as her wife. She tried to look for spaces nearby and pulled the car into the empty spaces disguised as a customer in a store deciding to get some orders and park the vehicle.

Placing the coffee in its handler stepped outside the car heading towards their direction, where her heart starts to pump more than normally does. A little bit nervous she haven't seen the woman before and it was a little strange for her.

"ahem excuse me?" said clearing her throat they both turn their heads on her.

"oh hi...how did you?" she stutter looking back and forth she instantly knew and froze.

"oh sorry this is my cousin Yansen" Jaime simply introduced.

"Yansen this is my wife Tara" Jaime added looking at each other and shaking her hand Tara find a bit strange and her nerves starts to feel a little burning sensation. She immediately brushes it off by looking above seems rain starts falling.

" my car is right there " Tara being playful pointed out.

Tara was silently driving the whole time, while Jaime and Yansen are talking and giggling the whole time as she watches them catching a few things to themselves. Wondering how close they were as cousins and she had never seen her at their wedding.

"I was in town to meet a couple of my cousins staying at the hotel I arrived this early morning for Holiday," Yansen said taking a glimpse in the head mirror.

"perfect time then will you stay with us, please? pretty please?"

Yansen took a glimpse and headed to the driver's seat where Tara met her eyes on the head mirror again.

"If it's okay with your wife Jaime," she said awkwardly.

" no, I don't mind it's good to have people visiting us," Tara said looking at the road before her wife Jaime let her speak and they both giggled in the backseat of the car.

" Jaime... "

"ahm.... you're looking for Jaime? do you want me to fi — " she asked but stopped herself.

" do you like some?" Tara offered her the red wine instead looking at the empty glass she was carrying around.

"yes please..." She replied.

"here... "

"thank you Tara..." she said with a longing voice.

"Are you sure you're not looking for Jaime? She's upstairs " Tara making assurance.

"let's enjoy the view it's so beautiful in here" Yansen replied.

"Okay be my guest" placing the bottle on the table.

"How long you've been married Tara if you don't mind" Yansen directly asked after sipping her wine.

"Tomorrow will be our third anniversary since we've been married"

" seemed sweet " a breath of frustration released.

"Tell me Yansen what are you doing here" Tara oddly asks dropping the façade vibe between them.

"Isn't obvious? and I am guessing Jaime didn't know" She sounded provoking.

"nope...not a single clue...Yansen" she replied sipping her wine.

"Technically I was single for a couple of years since that happened Yansen..." Tara added.

"Long enough to grieve...Tara " she smirked.

" and I didn't know you two are related God knows what kind of trick is this? " she almost whispers her works looking at the door behind them trying to calm her nerves closing her eyes.

"Tara? What trick?"Jaime said behind.

"Babe, uh? how long you've been there?" she looked back in surprise.

Tara asked while she took a glimpse of Yansen rolling her eyes with her signature smirk.

"just now I heard it in the hallway" she replied.

" yup okay... I need to go " Yansen said.

"oh! I thought you'll stay for the night" Jaime looked confused.

"I'm sorry Jaime something came up I received a text don't worry I'll make it up next time"

"Sure!" Jaime hugged her.

"do you want me to drive you to the hotel it's late I don't like you to book a cab" she insisted.

"Tara ddoesn'task just please drive her to the Hotel where she stays"

"Okay I'll grab my keys" she replied leaving her glass of wine.

Tara looked at them they seemed so close and kept the giggles like a high school girl who easily get blublushedd that makes me smile watching them doing the classic college girls in departing each other.

"ready?" I said and the two hugged each other goodbye.

" Yansen you still had the ring " Tara notices when they arrived at the room.

" yes, I put it on as a necklace Otara " she replied.

" is that a leash to guilt-tripping me?" she asked harshly.

" no, It's not my intention it's been a while since I had it and wore it" Yansen explained holding it.

" you mean since that day?" she asks out of curiosity.

"yes...Otara.."

"and my name is Tara stop calling me by my birth name we're not together anymore" she murmured placing her hand on her back.

"why'd you come to stay a little bit longer," she asked.

"no, sorry but no I have to go my wife's waiting," Tara said stepping one foot backward and lowering her head.

"It's good to see you Yansen have a goodnight - " she stop when a kiss planted on her cheeks along with caressing Tara's neck with her hand.

"thank you...Otara...I still find it cute... " She still teases her with her name.

Yansen said looking at her hand Tara slowly pulled away from wrapping her neck stepping one foot backward taking a glimpse of her and turning her back watching her hleleftif as nothing happen.
