The call
( Haven pov) Billy and I were practicing like we do everyday to get stronger I'll never forget that day when Kai called me on the phone. It was the phone call that would change my entire life, I was never the type of person who'd wish harm on anyone and growing up not knowing I was adopted until I was seventeen my parents taught me that defense is a way of protecting yourself and the ones you love. My uncle's were always pushing me to be better and stronger because in a wolf pack if you're the weakest you die. Luckily for me I'm half warlock half werewolf and a touch of fairy. So calling me a hybrid is an understatement, it was around noon on a beautiful summer day. I was just heading inside because we were on our way to Hope my sister's wedding....when the phone rang I picked it up but the voice kept cutting out and I could hear screams in the background " Riley! Answer me danm it!" I shouted worriedly I heard Kai 's voice as his voice sounded shaky " they're dead Haven all dead!" He began to cry I felt numb Billy walked in and I just walked passed him angirly with tears in my eyes " Haven what's wrong?!" He asks me sighing " someone...killed my entire family " it hurt to say it outloud like it wasn't real Billy looked down crying " Jesus....Kai too?" He asks sounding sad I pull my katana out and grab my hand gun and pack up my hunting stuff my mom had left me. She used to be a hunter that hunted shifters she was amazing at it too but it was before she met the Drake brothers. I shut the door of the closet without answering him and head outside " Haven where are you going?" He asks me concerned I hesitated " to kill the people who took my family from me !" When I got to the backyard it was awful my family was all over the place blood was every where it looked like scene from a bad movie . I cried as my mother gripped baby hunter tightly his face covered in her blood he looked as though he was sleeping, little Alice who was only ten years old she must've been trying to protect my uncle Logan and the others Chloe and Christian father and daughter were next to each other her face was burnt and Christian was missing a leg like it had been chewed off. As for hope she was in her wedding dress it looked like my brothers and sisters had tried to protect her but failed because they were infront the altar lying next to her under all the bodies I herd a muffled voice so gently I moved Riley and Rieka 's lifeless body aside. It was Kai he was still alive but barely " Kai! Hold on I'm going to help you just don't move !" I tell him as continue to help him I turn seeing Billy behind me in shock he runs over helping me as we gently lift Kai up. I look at him as Billy starts to bandage him " Kai what happened here!?" I ask him angirly he whispers to me " The council..." I glare at him angirly " the council did this to you? Why?" I ask him getting more upset " they....they were after you and hope and the rest of us refused to tell them where you were. But we had no idea they'd retaliate like this they just started killing everyone " he explains Billy looks at me sighing heavily " so what are you going to do now ?" I glare at him " first off I'm going to bury my family then I'm going to kill every single member of the council for what they've done!" Kai and Billy look at me nodding at me. Once I buried my family I went to visit Bastien the king of the dragons why because there was only one other person I could trust with helping me was Damien and Bastien. Damien and his father had known our family a long time " my aunt Kira said you were here Haven what's the matter?" Damien looks at me confused " the council has killed my entire family and I need your help my family died trying to hide my wareabouts the shifters council murdered all of them including baby hunter the only one left is Kai. " he looks at me in shock speechless so Ren too ?" He asks curiously looking at me sadly I sigh " all my cousins , brothers sisters....aunts , uncle's and my parents are gone Weylyn too." I say to him sighing heavily he sighs heavily " shit I'm so sorry haven look let me speak with my father and the others I'll be right back. " I stand there waiting for him for what feels like forever until Bastien comes running out in tears " Lady Haven! Ofcourse we'll help you whatever you need just let us know " he says looking hurt and angry " I need an army of shifters on my side to help me kill the council " he nods at me " it can be arranged lady Drake when do you need it by ?" He asks curiously I look at him " two days time thank you both I promise I will not stop until every shifter has justice!" I exit the castle and head threw the forest now I just wait for army. As I sit there my mind races thinking about the entire Drake family and all the good they brought to my life how my dad used to play with catch with me and how my brother Riley would walk to school with me . I think about our birthdays and outings. Then I start to cry angirly . I then make a promise to myself and to my family " I swear even if I die trying I won't stop until every council member gets what they deserve. " with that I began to drift off to sleep as I curled up wearing Riley 's favorite leather jacket and a booking hope used to lend me I had other items in there from my siblings and parents aswell like my dad's pocket knife and my cousins collection of Keychains. I also had baby hunters favorite blanket I knew deep down that killing them wasn't going to make me feel better but, I needed them to feel the pain and hurt I was feeling I had a plan and wasn't afraid I needed them to know what they took from me.
