The Visionaries Writing Contest 2026
$10,000 prize & movie adaptation for the best biography of a Silicon Valley legend.
Some of the most fascinating lives of our time belong to the architects of Silicon Valley. Think Sam Altman, Vinod Khosla, Sheryl Sandberg, Marc Andreessen, Demis Hassabis, Travis Kalanick, Doug Leone; the college dropouts, the rebels, the obsessives who rewired how we live, work, and connect.
Silicon Valley is the gravitational force - your subject doesn’t need to have been born in it, but they must have shaped it, challenged it, or been consumed by it - to some extent.
Inkitt invites you to craft a biographical narrative inspired by a visionary of the modern era. Your story doesn’t need to be a novel, it can be a short story, an interpretation, or a close-to-fact portrait of a life that shaped our world.
What we’re looking for: A compelling, cinematic biography of a real or thinly fictionalized tech founder including their origin story, obsessions, failures, and what drove them to change everything.
Genres: Biopic, Founder drama, Historical fiction, Tech Origin Story, Satirical biography
Characters to explore: The Visionary, the Contrarian, The Believer, The Doubter, The Mentor, The Rival
Think The Social Network and Elvis, not a Wikipedia entry or New York Times op-ed.
The Grand Prize: $10,000 & a feature film
Who qualifies: Any writer, anywhere in the world.
