Chapter 1
It has never been easy to live but we go through each day for the sake of living. We are survivors guided by instincts and once you lose sight of that, you are led astray. We plan and if things don't go our way then our whole world falls apart. We wish for things and if they don't happen we sob and think we are cursed, every bad and hurtful word we want to direct it towards us. You find that you work your butt off but don't get the deserving or expected results, you crumble but in the end we know we gotta keep moving.
Babies chase after their parents affection and attention, if they don't get it then they start wailing. Young kids chase after having a lot of toys and dolls, they want to showcase amongst their peers that they have it and got it all. Teenagers chase after adoration and fame, if they don't get it they shutter and wish the ground could bury them. Young adults are driven by hormones and the stage they are in urges them to be in love, if they don't get it they feel like they are cursed and the universe has turned them down. Mid-adults are chasing after marriage, if you not married then society labels you and that suffocates them a lot. Adults are chasing after their kids success, if they are not then heartbreak, stress befalls them leading to depression which consumes them. Old people are chasing after their death, they tell you that they've lived long and if death isn't granted to them they lash out or murmur about everything, cursing whatever god out there hearing them. ... There is a lot to go on about and sadly odds of it not happening in our lives are 1 in a Million.
You can chase a ball and get it but you can also not get it, fact is you gotta have your options wide open. Yes, you've been chasing that dream car, job, man, lady, or whatever is to chase and you found yourself not in the position to get it. That's not the end of it all, as much as it hurts you just have to keep on.
We call ourselves lost cause when things don't work out our own way but if you can look back at the past achievements, do you really deserve that label? I don't know how many things I've chased after in life and to some I got and others I didn't. My world felt like I was in an earthquake and everything is going to perish right there and then but that didn't happen. Here I am telling a story and hopefully will help someone out there.
