Abby and Hyde

It has been a long day. I had just heard news that my dear boyfriend had been murdered but to be honest it’s for the best. Even though I had feelings for Isaac he was very abusive. So I think this is for best. I decided to visit my childhood friend Darrien Jekyll. He opened the door greeting me.

“Afternoon Abby, oh are you okay?”

He said. He had noticed my face in shambles as my mascara was falling apart all over my face from crying.

“Not really Darrien I just got news that my boyfriend had been brutally murdered at the local gym.” “Oh heavens,” Darrien said. “Please do come in.”

Darrien then invited me into his home with welcoming arms as the staff also greeted me with care and grief. But something seemed off. The staff was weirdly eyeing Darrien for some reason. Not only that Darrien didn’t really seem himself.

But I quickly brushed it off as Darrien and I walked through a long hallway to the humongous living room space where he sat me on the couch.

“ So you’re saying your boyfriend died from a murderer?” Darrien asked. “Yes.” I said tearfully. “But I have this theory or hunch I would call it.” I said. “I think James Hyde has something to do with it.” I said.

I then started to hold Darrien’s hand as he became still for just a moment as soon as I held his hand. He then pulled away from me.

“ Darrien is there something wrong?” I asked.

Darrien was acting strange Most times he’d always hold my hand but, I shrugged it off again.

“Darrien I don’t love being alone can I stay here for little bit please I need time with a friend to help me cope with what I just lost.” I said. “ Sure.” Darrien said. I then smiled at him as he smiled back.

“ You know I think it’s better this way. I’m not even sure if I even loved Isaac. I just loved him because of his looks. But when I realized what he truly was it was too late. I couldn’t leave until he died.” I said. I soon started to describe and talk about my abusive relationship with Isaac to Darrien. I loved how attentive and caring Darrien always was to me. He listened and gave good advice.

“Darrien, thanks for listening to me.” I said. Without thinking of anything I kissed him on the lips. I didn’t even know why I did that. I did it without thinking. Could he be who I wanted?Darrien was still for a few seconds I noticed he was sweating a bit and trembling a bit.

“Darrien are you ok?” I asked. “ Why yes Abby I’m great never been better!” Darrien said with a fake smile. As Darrien was trying to leave I then stopped him. “ Darrien, what’s going on with you? Do we need to talk about it?” I said. “ NO! No we don’t just go!” He yelled. “ Darrien! I’m not leaving until you tell me what’s wrong?!” I yelled back.

I then softened my voice. “ Please? I promise I won’t tell you can talk to me about it.” I said. Darrien sighed he turned around to the couch and sat down.

“ Fine I’ll tell you.” He said. “ About two months ago I created a serum that would change some of my mood swings, inner thoughts, and physique. Recently it’s been out of control lately causing me to transform when ever my feelings get the best of me.” Darrien said. “ Like it just annoyed me that Isaac treated you like that. You deserved better. That dickhead never deserved you, EVER!” Darrien said. I could tell he was pouring out his heart emotionality as he kept ranting about Isaac.

“You know he used to beat me up too! Jerk wouldn’t leave me alone. One time when he came to pick you up from the lab when you left he beat me to pulp. I was in so much pain. But my amazing serum healed those scars and gave me more!” He said. I could still see something was right. For once he seemed confident in himself he had a glint in his eye that was staring right into my soul.

“Abby, Issac and his friends were pigs who you didn’t deserve to be with.” He then held my hand. “Just like how they didn’t deserve to liiiiive?!” It was like Darrien slipped back to reality.

“No! Darrien Jekyll control yourself! Don’t let your dark and horny feelings get the best of you!” He said.

Dark and horny feelings? Could it be? Does Darrien have feelings for me? “Mmmp, No! Wont let them invade my mind this time! You’ve already created so much damage from losing control of your feelings!” He said to himself. “Darrien tell me what’s going on?!” I said.

He then looked at me with sadness. He sighed and started to stare deep into my eyes. He smiled as he got closer and picked up my chin. “I made sure you and I don’t have to go through Issac and his abusive ways ever again. He NEVER deserved you, I did. I can be a loving boyfriend to protect you, love you, and maybe even more.” He said.

It had finally clicked Darrien killed Issac! Not only that he had real feelings for me. “ Why are you backing away Abby?” He said to me. “I promise I won’t hurt you, I love you like nothing else in the world.” He said. “Darrien you just confessed to murdering my ex!” I said scared.

“But you yourself said you were in a relationship you couldn’t get out of right?” He said. “Yes but-” “Then don’t fight this. Trust me once you see the other me you’ll be begging to stay. Just get closer.” He said. I scooted closer to him on the couch till we were face to face. Darrien once again had that glint in his eye. It was kinda sexy.

“Darrien what is-” “Shhhhh!” Darrien said. “Don’t ask questions just watch as my experiment changes me into a playboy you’d always want.”He said whispering.

Was this still my childhood friend or was he being replaced? I still wasn’t sure but there in the couch I started to hear pops and what not from Darrien’s body. I hear Darrien quietly moaning and groaning from what seemed like the change he was going through.

Being the concerned friend I am, I held his hand and started to caress his hand trying to help him ease his pain. “Oh how sweet you’re caressing my hand showing how much you care for me.” He said. “It’s what friends do after all.” I said. Darrien then chuckled to himself. “Maybe we could be more than just that.” He said softly.

I can’t lie he was becoming a bit of a sly fox. I even blushed a bit. Then I started to hear loud snaps from Darrien’s body. “Ow fuck!” He said. He then clinched his stomach. Then I started to become speechless as I saw Darrien getting taller? He didn’t lie when he said his physique would change.

I just stood there still rubbing his hand. He then sighed. From the looks of it the pain had gone away. “Darrien are you okay?” I asked. “I am. How are you liking the show?” He said. “It’s not done- Darrien your hair!” I said. Darrien’s hair was turning black and curly. Darrien then sighed. “That’s much better.” He said. Darrien then laughed.

“You ain’t seen nothing yet!” He said. He then took off his glasses. “Notice anything different?” He said smirking. I noticed his eye color was different. They used to be hazel brown but now they’re a sexy emerald dark green. I won’t lie I was kinda liking this “other half” of him.

“Oh yes Yes!” Darrien said. I then noticed his skin was turning pale as it started to blend in with the rest of his new features. He then picked up my chin. “See what I mean? I can be a way better boyfriend than Issac. Way better.” He said. He then kissed me on the lips, I kissed back. “Darrien, I never knew you had feelings for me.” I said. “Well now you know Abby.” He said. He then started to caress my arm as he looked deeply into my eyes once again.

Then he smirked and closed his eyes. Then I saw Darrien’s chest grow. I was in awe as Darrien opened his eyes with all I could assume was lust in his eyes. “I see you looking at my chest Abby.” Darrien said. I started to blush and smile. “I know, that shirt can’t contain those strong pecs.” I said. I chuckled as I edged closer to Darrien to the point we were face to face.

I noticed Darrien’s arms growing as his shirt was ripping off. As it came off I saw his new body. It was like he had muscles of a god. Whatever that experiment was I sure like it! Darrien was now tall and muscular. With dark green eyes, black curly hair, and pale skin that fits him nicely. “So, this is the secret you’ve been keeping from me?” I said. “Why?” “Well you see my dear Abby when you dating that dickhead Issac my other self was too scared and fragile to admit feelings let alone the experiment you see here.”

“Abby, you have to promise to keep this a secret. Agreed?” He said. “Agreed I will keep this secret of yours. Especially if it means being with both sides of you.” I said. “Now, let us have a bit of fun and turn on the stereo to your favorite song. Or maybe our favorite song to be honest.”

Darrien knew my favorite song! I then stood up from the couch as Darrien turned on the stereo. It was a slow little tune as he grabbed my hand as we started to dance and waltz around the huge living room.

“Abby you know you don’t have to call me Darrien when I’m like this. I sure don’t. Call me James Hyde.” He said to me. “Okay, I’m actually mad you didn’t tell me about this sooner.” I said. Darrien or James I should say smiled at me again as we continued to waltz around the living room. “You know Abby we could become way way more than friends.” James said to me.

“Like I said before, I’ll protect you, love you, and care for you. I’ll be a good boyfriend wether I’m James Hyde or Darrien Jekyll. During the day you get the sweet loving Darrien Jekyll and at night you’ll have me. A better version of him. One who’ll give you the time of your life, especially in the sheets.” He said. James winked.

It was too perfect to pass up. I then kissed James on the lips as he kissed back. We began to make out for about few minutes until we had a bit of more fun right on the couch.
