Chapter 1
It was evening and winter, with frost, so fine snowflakes fell to the ground and a huge pile of snow was created, covering the whole ground.
Mara and Benedickt were reading by the fire.
They were so focused on what they were reading, no one and nothing could distract them.
A noise broke the calm in that room, a scream was heard from the yard, it was soothing. Curious and scared, she decided to take a look.
Mara glanced out the window. Her fear and terror could be seen in her eyes. Her heart stopped, she fell to the floor lifeless. Benedickt ran to her, called her name but she was no longer there, his eyes filled with tears, he saw that his heart stopped beating, he looked out the window, he was terrified, he felt a tightness in his chest, his breath his was slowing down, fell beside his wife.
What happened that night? Who was it? How did they die?
Nobody knew. It was a mystery that would remain in that house and that house only.
