Chapter 1
Ugh god I always hated go to school, I’m fact I dreaded. I always had to be little miss perfect, the daughter of the pristine and hated mayor “Timothy Cane”. As his story went on about the work of politics made him “lonely” then he met my mother
“Rebecca Cane”. And as he locked her in with his charms he proposed to her and obviously she accepted. Therefore making her realize how much of a monster he was but she couldn’t go back now, then FINALLY having children like their eldest daughter me.
“Cindy Cane” the first and only child that my mother birthed. I was taught about the importance of presentation and reputation when I was 4 years old. I became snobby, uptight, and mainly I became “daddy’s little girl”.
I always did what I was told, thought what I was told to think, until one day in middle school 8th grade, year of 2022. I met this peculiar and stubborn girl who never did what she was told, therefore making her the perfect target for me and my friends to pick on and my father to up stage her father. But little did I know I was shocked to how she responded to me and co.
One day, In middle school my friends decided we would prank her until she dropped out. I admit that I was kind of a pushover and did whatever I was told unless my father said other wise.
Anyways my friends “McKenna Roberts “ a girl who couldn’t make a decision for her life but loved bossing people around , “Amelia Douglas” who definitely had no backbone and obviously was so very insecure about herself she found approval of the one and only, “Jenna Micheles” a girl who knew how to malipunate people almost as well as she knew how to do a backflip, she knew how to make kids run away and yet feel so safe in her presence. Probably because of years of experience.
My friends heard some juicy information about that one stubborn and peculiar girl that I could never get out of my mind. Apparently they heard her talking with a boy yelled at him about the importance of woman rights and how it’s important to respect peoples decisions in life like how she realized she was lesbian.
Honestly when Jenna told me that I laughed a little bit thinking about how I would’ve originally thought that, that girl would’ve beat up that boy just for thinking she’s straight. My friends had an idea where I was tease the stubborn girl into thinking that I liked her, and when she least expects it we’ll pull the rug from underneath her …. Okay so at first it was horrible but later on I loved doing it.
I would stare at her in class and then she’s notice and stare at me, I’d smile for her sometimes and I loved seeing her blushed face, and at some point I realized that she had me questioning my sexuality. I always pretended to hate doing it because she was gay but I actually loved staring at her.
My friends thought it was long enough and that we should pull the rug now since that girl made me a poem. I honestly forgot about the plan and I didn’t want to do it.
All I wanted was to … date the girl I knew nothing about. But I couldn’t say “no” to them, what would’ve happened then ? Would I say no to anyone ? Would I not listen to my father ? Would he hate me ?! I didn’t want to think about that so we did that plan.
The annual dance for the “graduation” class of 8th grade was happening and we all thought that it would be best to do it there. It was simple, lure her on to the stage then have her confess her feelings for me in front of everyone.
Therefore making everyone hate her. Our town is very Mormon. But when we got there for the first time I really saw that stubborn girl for who she was. I really looked at her and saw beauty and kindness.
I saw her beautiful dark brown hair with a hint of black curled and left down. I saw her light chocolate skin shin while she wore her black dress with long sleeves that go longer than her arm length.
I saw her back showing because of her dress which had sort of a v neck and back look. Not to lie she was pretty chubby but she was still so beautiful, her eyes shined with her emerald colored eyes and her dark brown eye shadow and her eye liner making her eyes seems like a cat eye design
She wore a choker that had a black heart attached to it. She also wore long dangly earrings that had stars on them. She look so beautiful I felt my face burn up whenever I looked at her.
