Prologue
Since the beginning of time, the sanctity of the mating bond has been of great importance among the werewolf kind. A mate was considered a gift from the Moon Goddess herself and as such was to be cherished, loved and appreciated. Every wolf eagerly awaited the day they would meet their other half.
Naturally, there were wolves that deviated from this path and their punishment alongside the fruit of their unholy union was severe.
As time passed, the punishment for this unholy act became virtually non-existent and in the present day, though still frowned upon, the guilty parties go unpunished while the fruits of such acts live with the stigma…and the inability to have a fated mate of their own.
