Sasuke's Goodbye

This story if you can't tell is writing in Sasuke's POV

I wrote this for a friends birthday because she is a SasuSaku fan (so am I)

So... HAPPY 17th BIRTHDAY ANA!

I had made up my mind, I was leaving.

There would be no goodbyes; I would leave everything and… everyone behind tonight.

I have to, to achieve my goal… my dream. I will leave this life behind.

"SASUKE!" I recognized the voice as I turned around, it was her Sakura.

She was running and only stopped a few feet from me. I didn't say anything, what could I say.

"Sasuke… please, don't go." It was almost as if she was begging; it made my heart clinch. I felt sick.

"Go home Sakura, get some sleep. From here on out… we all begin new paths" I told her thinking,

'I want to stay with you but… I have to go.'

"If you were to stay with me… there would be no regrets… Because, everyday we'd do something fun, we'd be happy… I swear!"

"I… love you with all my heart!"

"I would do anything for you! So… please, just stay with me…"

"I'll even help you with your goal… I don't know what I could do…but I'll try my best to do something…"

"So please… Stay with me… Or you could take me with you if you can't stay here…"

Sakura… she really loves me. Even after everything I've done… I was always so cold to her but it was for this very reason… I couldn't allow myself to get close, or I'd just end up hurting whoever I'm close to and myself.

I can't stay here, and I can't take her with me… I'm not strong enough I can't protect her. I have to leave her here.

"You really are… annoying." I said it with a smirk while on the inside I was crying, Goodbye Sakura.

She looked up at me shock and hurt written all over her face… I hated myself, but I had to make her let me go. I turned away no longer being able to see her pain, and started to walk away.

"Don't leave! If you do I'll scream!" She called out. I was behind her in a second.

"Sakura…" I spoke from behind her letting a small amount of sadness seep into my voice.

"Thank you." 'I'm sorry, I love you too.' I knocked her out quickly from behind. I felt even worse having to hit her, but we are ninja. We have, and will be through much worse than the headache she'd have in the morning.

I caught her before she could hit the ground and picked her up holding her close to my chest. She curled into me. If felt like someone punched me in the stomach, hard. Even in her sleep she trusts me. I closed my eyes, bowing my head closer to her.

I didn't know what I was doing but when I opened my eyes all I could see was her beautiful face. I kissed her on her soft pink lips and it was like a blanket of calmness came over me. With a small smile, I went and laid her on the bench nearby. I didn't want to have to leave her there but if I took her home I would be caught for sure, and someone would find her soon. As I looked at my beautiful Sakura laying there I couldn't help but whisper.

"I'll be back for you."

Okay I know I switch some of the word around from Sakura's confession to Sasuke,

and cut somethings out as well as added some stuff, but I did it on purpose. :P

So know one needs to tell me I got it wrong.

Anyway I hope everybody likes it sorry it slowed down my other story a bit

but don't worry I'm getting right back to it :)
