Prologue; What is it About You?
Victoria's eyes thinned as she watched Tyler's slightly exposed skin of his right shoulder. There was a little black ink on the rather fair skin, and it appeared to be a little butterfly. She felt her heart jump, and it was a stupidly foreign feeling. They were all girls, and in this dorm, she had seen over twenty girls change without a single reaction to it.
Suddenly, Tyler turned and caught her eyes, and his eyes immediately went wide, pulling the shirt up to cover his shoulder. He couldn't afford getting caught now, especially not when he felt he was so close to the truth.
She stepped forward, her eyes scanning him.
"Everybody, out."
None of the girls needed a second invitation, and they all scurried out, leaving them both alone, his back on the cold tiles.
Slowly, she walked forward, her lips slightly parted as she took him in. She soon covered the distance between them, and she leaned forward, taking in his face.
"You are a girl. You look like one."
Tyler swallowed. "D..definitely. Is that..is that even up for question?"
She nodded, then slowly moved even further, till Tyler could feel the heat from her body, till he couldn't breathe. This wasn't what he had signed up for, but damn him if he wanted to leave here right now.
Damn him if he wanted to tell her to stop.
Damn him if he wanted to push her away.
Damn him if he didn't hope he was wrong about her.
Suddenly, she leaned forward, her nose slightly touching the tip of his nose. He could almost feel her heart beating rapidly, in sync with his, her breathlessness caressing the skin of his cheek.
"Then, what is it about you, Taylor?"
