Arrival
I didn't have a nightmare tonight. It's a rare occasion that means the worst i can imagine will happen. And it's true. I woke up under a wisteria tree. It would've been beautiful if it wasn't bordering a dead land.
I could smell the rancid air from here, that faint but terrifying electric tingle. I wanted to vomit. I remember this place, i remember it all too well. It's the place that's the sprout of my nightmares. This world, this ripple in my memories has forever haunted me. And now, i'm being crushed in it's fist.
I'm sick of being a victim to myself.
I reach my hand to my arm, blondé bleached hairs reach for the heavens, fleeing from the goosebumps that glaze my forearm. I wrap my thumb and forefinger around a small lump of flesh on the reverse side of my palm, and squeeze with all my might.
It hurts...
It hurts so bad...
And thats the result I didn't want.
This is real.
This is fucking real.
