Chapter 1

Beep!Beep! That must be my best friend Zara. I thought as I ran out the door. Beep!Beep! "Hurry up Ember, I'm not going to be late on the first day of school because you move like a sloth!"Zara yelled through the car window. "Calm down I'm coming"I said running to the car. I hoped in the car and she sped down the road. "Girl slow down we're gonna get in a wreck, " I told Zara. "Excuse me for trying to make sure we get to school on time we are already five minutes behind schedule,"Zara replied.

Finally we are here I thought as she pulled into the school. "Where do you want me to meet you at after classes?"I asked her. "Just meet me at the car,"she replied. "Sounds good I have to go find my first period, I sadly have history,"I told her."Have fun I have to go to athletics, bye," she said as she walked off.

I started walking to history. I wasn't paying attention and walked straight into someone knocking me off my feet. "Oh my God I'm so sorry, I wasn't paying attention" I said as I started to pick my books up. I looked up and the hottest guy I had ever seen was looking down at me. "It's okay, I get it first day, let me help you,"he said putting out his. I took his hand and he pulled me up to my feet. " Thank you uhm". "Ace,what's your name?" Ace asked. "E-ember," I stuttered. "Well Ember I have to get to class I'll catch you later though,"Ace said. I nodded my head and walked off to go to first period. My thoughts spiraling and blending together all I could think about was Ace with his long black hair and his gorgeous eyes. I can't believe he was so sweet even though I ran into him full force.

I went into my first period and sat down. I didn't understand a thing the teacher said I was to busy thinking about Ace.

The rest of the day went by in a blur. School finally let out. I about ran out of the class room. I was walked to where I was supposed to meet Zara waiting for her classes to get out.

I could see Zara walking toward me. "Hey I saw you talking to Ace,"Zara said as she got into the car. "Oh uhm yeah I kinda bumped into him,"I replied. "Well he thinks you are cute and I gave him your number and you should be expecting a call when you get home," Zara replied. I stayed silent the rest of the car ride I was so scared. I got out ran into my room and shut the door.

I didn't know what to do I was so nervous. What if he didn't call? What if it is just a joke? I stopped dead in my tracks when I heard my phone start ringing. "Hello is this Ember?"Ace asked when I answered the phone. "Hi yes this is Ember whats up?"I answered. "This is Ace the guy you bumped into earlier, I thought you really cute and wondered if you would like to go to the dance with me?" Ace asked. "Yeah sure," I replied. "How is tomorrow night? Ace asked" I will pick you up at eight." "Okay souds good,"I replied. "Okay see you then bye," Ace said. "Sounds good bye,"I said as I hung up the phone.
