Prologue
It was a cold day as my eyes gazed off into the boundless skylines, the gentle breeze softly touch my skin, passing through the trees that gently sway along with it, suddenly it all stopped. I felt a presence nearby causing me to instinctively turn to my right to see my sight bestow upon a child whose glistening yellowish-orange hair reminded me of the sunset, complimented with his red hakama, he got a good look at me before giving off a friendly warm smile that almost instantly warmed my heart.
It was a feeling as if my entire suffering was finally being rewarded after all these years, right now I could die in happiness, I wanted stay here and learn more about the person who is smiling at me. I noticed the boy lifting up his left hand to me. At first I was hesitant but slowly got up on my feet and approached him, I reluctantly lifted up both of my hands and grasped onto the boy's small hands, though it was smaller than mine, it was enough to radiate a warmth that was felt hands, then to my upper body. It was a warm sensation that I never wanted to let go of, however, I have no idea who this person is or whether I'm just in another one of my fever dreams but it felt real this time. I looked at the boy again only for him to smile at me one more time, just when I was going to ask him a question, the sound of the alarm instantly woke me up, I couldn't help but fell into a distraught that I was unable to get answers.
I placed my hand that was in the air onto the alarm to switch it off, it's just a another day.. I had a dream to create a nation I so long destined for, though I was barely able to scratch by, still.. it didn't stop to the fact even though I'm a Noxian, I never inherited their intelligence, leaving me to be looked down upon by the majority of the Illuki Gonari, frustratingly most of the alliance I tried to recruit either die off because of their lack of skill or ignores orders from me, complaining to the Gonar Rep didn't do anything either as thing's would always get worse.
Just from thinking about my treatment as a former Osharu rank #92 me made sick from the inside out. I dragged myself to the bathroom to cool my head down, I lifted up a hand to turn on the faucet, filling up my hands with water before splashing it on my face, I let out a heavy exhale before turning off the faucet, I clumsily grabbed a towel nearby to bury my wet face on it drying it off in the process, I took down the towel off my face and just from the reflection, I instantly saw something different on the way I looked. I placed my finger on my lip and to my surprise, it felt so soft and real, I inspected my long, black silky hair, running my hair before I started going into an identity crisis.
Was it a dream? Is this me right now? The only option I could think off is pinching myself, I grabbed my right arm and pinched as hard as I could, upon receiving pain, I held my head down, trying my best, barely managing to completely calm myself down. I began inspecting every inch of my body to be surprised that I've made a complete change, even my height was shorter than normal, just to make sure I checked under my pants to see it was there and to my surprise, it also disappeared. I let out a sigh as I didn't know what to do now, however, I remembered that the Gonari Representatives might have something to about my sudden change so I quickly picked up a toothbrush and proceeded to clean every part of my teeth, afterwards I took a quick shower before putting on my clothes but quickly noticed that the clothes I have were too big for me, I looked down on my body frustratingly before I went out, as soon as I took a step outside I was greeted by the sun that was beaming violently on my dark skin that was balanced by the strong breeze that went by, it looked as if it was a busy day but I didn't consider it since every day is a busy day afterall.
I tried to recall the direction to the Illuki Gonari Factor by passing by a park that was there, out of curiosity I glanced at the park seeing that it was peaceful and lively, I caught an eye full of children having the time of their lives playing hide and seek along with the other outdoor activities, the citizens were also sitting down taking in the fresh breeze while they relax on the fresh green grass, I couldn't help but smile at the thought but just when I was about to leave, I saw a young girl sitting all by herself, cautiously looking around for something. I couldn't help but felt sorry for her so I tried calling the girl saying if she's lost, by surprise she squealed before slowly backing away eventually catching the others who started to whisper, I left the scene before attracting more attention.
I finally reached facing the huge building that was the heart of Nisets, I began noticing some of the people who were supposedly in the Illuki Gonari starting whispering some stuff in which I suddenly start to feel insecure about but as soon as I about to go into the building, I felt a sudden presence so great, I dodged the attack by pure instinct. The shockwave on the result caused the others to loose their balance, I jumped far back, looking in front of the attacker.
It was a red haired girl, with her bun wrapped neatly, in unbalance to her messy bangs, wearing nothing but a shirt knotted to her midriff and puffy shorts, her sharp crimson eyes glare into my eyes stating, "You really have some nerves to try and break in when I don't have my battle clothes on.."
I got a good look at her before explaining, "At the least try and hear me out-" as soon as I blinked, the red haired girl dashed towards different directions, struggling to keep my eyes on her incredible speed. I felt a sudden grab on my arm, spinning me in an anti-clockwise direction before releasing it, propelling me back into the side of a vehicle, I struggled recover from the injury, by sheer coincidence I whiffed past her axe kick whilst lifting a single finger to land a blow by the red haired girl's torso, she recoiled back little, she stood back up with a surprised look but with no warning, she kneeled down in response to the pain, I could only watch as the people that were around would run away. How the hell did I get into this? A grasp of a hand was felt behind my head, before I got the time to react I was slammed to the ground hard that I almost went unconscious, struggling to keep my head up a voice says, "You're not even worth the effort to kill you afterall." that was the straw that broke a camel's back, why is it so hard to be accepted into society now, why is that anything that tries go my way ends up getting worse, I was sick of it, all of it, my boiling passion of hate started to surge into my body, completely taking over my consciousness.
It was dark and lonely with every part I looked at is nothing but an empty void, without any warning a presence I felt was so great I turned over by instinct, what stood before me was a dark skinned girl, bonded by the chains, she remained silent. Upon inspecting her, it looked as if she was tortured for all of her life, eyes that were as dull as a knife after many uses, "That's me you know that?" said a strange tone, the same girl that I saw bonded was right next to me.. in a spirit form? By the sudden surprise I calmly asked the mysterious girl, "Who are you?" the girl paused for a moment before she replied, "I was a former child of the one that stands above us all before I was sent down here to die because of a false accusation."
"Former..? Why are you telling me this?" I said, The mysterious girl replied, "I believe you need to know this mainly because this world, might face an inevitable demise," she explained, "I've been roaming this world in this body for as long as I can remember, all of the constant conflicts and the torture of the souls of those who once wielded a Gikku was created from that "monster." she continued, "somehow, I'm finally able to to get through you." by that time I was confused beyond belief, I asked her what she means by all of this, she let out a soft giggle as she replied, "I believe it might be fate for us to bond together so we can change the state of this entire existence of the multiverse."
"So why did you choose me?" I said.
The mysterious girl thoughtfully looked beyond the horizon, she spoked casually, "That's because I saw some similarities between you and me, you're not being treated the way life expects to treat you." she slowly lifted up her hand, "So tell me, will you accept this chance you're given by me?"
I looked down my feet, I did not know what was going on but she was on par what I am going through, first being unable to create a Nation I destined but to be mistreated to be one of the Hinnekus, I slowly lifted up my hand to grab hers replying, "I accept." The mysterious girl lets out a warm smile, "Before you go, there is a structure that was created by the ones above us, it has been responsible for the disturbance within this universe, find it and the true meaning behind it will unfold onto you." I tried to ask her about more of the information of this structure but the void quickly obscured my vision, waking me up to see the tall, slender trees that bends itself over to shade the harsh sunlight.
I felt a sharp pain around my torso, questioning why I'm receiving pain despite not eating anything, I tried my best to resist it while I climbed the nearest tree, upon reaching the top, I looked around to see if there was any point I could go to and to my luck, I found a snowy mountain straight ahead of me but there nothing else I can see from my view, not even the city I resided in. I sighed and climbed back down. I walked down the direction I was facing and during the walking, I began to recap on information I had to receive from that strange girl, if its really true there are ones that are above us all, why did they sent the girl here and the structure she mentioned piques my curiosity on why did the proclaimed ones above us placed that in this world, just when I was thinking about that I happened to stumble across a village while I was brainstorming. Upon approaching it, I was almost immediately given the looks by all the residents of the village, the atmosphere became dense, struggling to muster up the strength to speak.
"Don't move eh' muscle." said a man, the deep and threatening tone was enough to make me raise my hands up by muscle memory, I felt the pressure that my life was in danger, if I made one wrong move, I'll die. I tried to reassure the man behind me that I was trying to find a way back home but I ended up getting lost leading to this village, this caused the villagers to whisper among themselves, the man discards the information I gave him saying that he doesn't believe me which was something I expected, he further interrogates me asking me why he should let me live. This was something I didn't expect to hear when I'm in danger but I thought about it for a bit before replying, "If you let me live I promise you that whatever you're facing, will be suppressed with my aid." not after I finished my sentenced my ears were greeted by a hearty laugh that almost made me deaf.
"Ya'r strange girl y'know that?" I groaned in frustration, "You almost made me tone deaf big man." I slowly turned around to get a look at him as he puts down the loaded crossbow. His physique was off the charts, a beard hangs over his face fixing his sharp, small eyes onto mine, he wore a white shirt that could rip out at any moment to his huge muscles, an apron covers the front of his body, finishing it off with his black, baggy trousers and a construction worker boots.
"The name's Sniffy, if ya' need me fi anything, ya' know mi face!" he exclaimed, "What's ya' name lil lady?" I was about to say my real name but I paused for a moment and thought that this could be one of my first breakthrough to leave my shitty past and start over a new, I replied, "Kisayu.. Kisayu Holchira"
"Hmm... that name's sure a mouful, I'll call ya' Sayu instead!" he said before releasing another hearty laughter. I exhaled in relief that I didn't make a bad impression, "Say, do you think I can stay here for a bit?" Sniffy gave me a puzzled look, asking, "Ain't ya' part of tha' Illuki.. whatever the name wus?"
"The Illuki Gonari, we sometimes call it the Illuki Institute, I ran into a high threat level when I was sent to an expedition.. I don't remember much and that's how I ended up here."
"They aware bout' ya' disappearance?" Sniffy said in a rather cold tone.
I averted my eyes from his face for a bit before replying, "The manual guide says that if the Hiboski takes too long to complete the mission or is missing, they'll send a First Response team from the HERA level to find me." I further continued, "It may take a few days to find me if you're going to hit me with that question." I was immediately hit with another ear piercing laugher from Sniffy, "Ya' free to stay as much as you like!"
"I'd rather get my own home at this point." I stated sarcasitcally, before another hearty laugh out of Sniffy escapes his mouth. I held my head from the mild headache I got having to bear from his loud laughs.
Ya' can stay in mi' house little lady!" Sniffy said, as he points the direction to his house, "I'm at mi' blaksmit' if ya' need anything." I watched him march away in a good mood before I lose his sight on when he entered the blacksmith. I could sigh in relief that I successfully lied into staying here, there's a good chance that the JISHO grade level Hiboskiis I recently fought may target me sooner or later, I thought about the possibility if I could keep running away from the organization as I entered into Sniffy's house, my thoughts were interrupted as I glance into the eyes of a older woman, her rose, curly hair flows, her looks were complimented by her cottage dress that she wore, she lifted her head up to my glance, "You're Sayu aren't you?"
I immediately break away from the charm of the lady before replying, "Yep... that's me, were you eavesdropping on us?" she left out a giggle saying that she overheard, the conversation between me and his husband, I interrupted asking how was she able to handle such a loud mouthed guy, she thought about it for a while before laughing at the question, "Back when we were together, I wore these but eventually his laughs grew onto me" she said while holding what appears to be a ear muff? "I guarantee that you'll need them, right?"
I lifted my hands up to receive the gift and thanked her, the lady's eyes widen as she forgot something, "Ah! Sorry for not introducing myself earlier.. I'm Melina," she said, "You're free to stay here as long as you want."
"Can I ask you one more thing?" I asked, she lifted up her head to embrace for the request I was about to ask, "Sure, go ahead.." I softly held a grip onto my loose clothing and asked, "Do you have any clothes that could suit me? I feel like I stand out."
Melina awed in surprise to the request, "Of course! u-uhm.. let me see if I can find anything" she wasted no time and rushed over to the closet to see if she, had any clothes for me to wear, I sat by the chair where Melina sat down while I watched her rummage through the mountain of clothes, after a while of hunting for clothes that can suit me, she turned towards my direction, shakily lifting up a rather strange looking clothes, "This was something I made for my daughter for Halloween," Melina explained, "I never got to give this to her." she frowned after she was done with her explanation, I grabbed the clothes from her hand and asked, "Do you know where she is?"
"My daughter always told me that she is doing well in a department, I don't remember much but she always wanted to be a scientist." she smiled.
"Wait.. you're telling me that she's a QILU grade level?" I exclaimed almost shouting out the sentence. Melina recoiled from the sudden shout, "I-Is that supposed to be a big deal..?"
"Not really but I do remember the same hair color, Melaguri right?" I chuckled.
"So you've two met before?" she said puffing in relief, "Are you her senior seeing that I can't even sense any power in you." I groaned a little before I reassured, "I'm actually in the same grade level, I have a Gikku but I don't think it will be much help."
"Ah, I see." she said, "So are you going to put on the clothes I gave you or what?" I got to focused into the conversation that I forgot about why were sitting down on the flat wooden floor exchanging conversations, I asked her to look the other way since it already feels embarrassing as a former man to be watched by a older woman, she further teases that if she's insecure about her weight, I only looked at her irritatingly before asking her kindly to not look, she crossed her arms saying that I can't take a little joke before taking her glance away from me.
I put on the strange clothes that was a frayed hooded and shirt, black leggings and some sort of a wizard's shoes? I was surprised at first of how they fit on me.
"It's terrifying on how well this fit on me." I said.
Melina titled her head in response to the unexpected turn of events, "I could say the same thing you know!" she exclaimed. Since I'm classified as a threat to the Illuki Gonari for the time being, I had no idea on how to make money, I asked, "Do you have any idea on how I can make money here?" Melina paused for a moment, placing her hand over her chin, replying, "You could do a little hunting to earn some money but I think you should rest, it must be stressful when you're in the middle of nowhere. She is right, I shouldn't get ahead of myself too quickly, I didn't even see a trace of the city when I woke up so I guess Hiboskiis won't find me for the time being. "You're right, I'll get some rest" I got up and planted my face first into the sofa.
"U-Um.." Melina said, trying to bring up a sentence but ends up failing as I already went into a deep sleep, I sat there in the empty void looking over to the never ending boundary, so many questions filled my head, why me? What is this structure they refer to and who is the ones above us all. Those were thoughts that I was dying to know but I ended up drifting into a different dream.
