Introduction - Chapter 1
Day 1 :
It’s the begging of the school day. It was a rainy day. The rain came down not hard but it was not sprinkling. You could see the sunlight shine through the gray clouds above. The school was somewhat old and somewhat new, everyone was in their classes still, but lunch was coming up soon. The School was an inside-outside school there were buildings outside and inside the school.
Shana: Shana was in her class. It was a new class called magic 101 but this class was classified as science 101 just hidden from non-mythical beings. Magic 101 was a class that was just reading and learning about magic not doing any magic. Shana was sitting at her desk reading about the anatomy of dragons and dragon magic; it was today’s subject in class. As Shana was reading her book as she began to think. Shana thought that it might be a good idea to stay low and not draw too much attention to herself because she was the new kid in this school. Shana just barely moved here with her mother and her older brother. She also thought she might go look for her friend Marko. Shana has long: black with white streaks and pink-reddish tips straight hair, her left eye color is green and her right eye color is light blue, a long black leather jacket over her grey shirt, and she wore black jeans and black boots. Shana is around the age of 18.
Azzy: Azzy looks at herself in the mirror, staring at her reflection. She hated how different she was. Scars were up and down her arms, deep into her wrist. She was just so different. Why couldn’t she be like everyone else? As lunchtime rolled around, she realized she was already late for school. She brings in her wings and throws on her hood. She rolls down her long sleeves, as to cover the scars she has. Azzy puts on her mask and walks out into the living room. Her twin sister had already left. After being scolded by her parents for being late once again, she walked to school as the rain poured down. She hated school and wanted nothing more than for it to just end. Azzy was constantly bullied and knew absolutely nobody. But maybe this time was different. It was a new school after all. She walked into the school building and sighed. She kept her head down low and walked to her first class.
Lancer: He’s in his home, laying on his bed in his wolf form. Lancer’s wolf form is a dark blue fur color and he has light blue eyes. He gets up off the bed, rubbing his eyes. He walks over to his mirror and sighs. He thinks of how he’s going to figure out the situation of when he’s going to transform into a human at high school at the right time to help disguise himself from the other students at school and everyone in general. He puts on a nice tuxedo and fedora on. He is too self-conscious and disguises himself so that nobody else recognizes his true identity from an advice spell he learned from his father. He sometimes attends school whenever he feels like it, he wants to enjoy the experience of being a normal teenager and making new friends because he never went to school his entire life. This is because he never had to, being a wolf and all. He learned just what wolves have to learn in their lives all from his parents. His mother, unfortunately, died when he was only six years old. She was hunted by a human and got shot. He and his father both grew to hate all humans and have a prejudice against all of them for this sad reason. This is also why he always has to hide the fact that he can transform into a human from his father, but he can’t help the fact that this has been his special ability ever since he was born. He also hates this himself but has eventually learned to deal with it and accepted it, because he knows that he must disguise himself somehow and can’t let the others at school know about his secret that he is a wolf. Now, he only has his father alive, but his father is old and is going to die soon. Because of his tragic backstory, he pushes everyone else away because he has trust issues and doesn’t like to socialize with others. He always pretends he’s fine, but deep down inside, he’s not. He occasionally goes to quiet places alone to cry to himself as he still thinks of his deceased mother and hates himself as he still thinks he could’ve saved her in time, so he still blames himself. So, with only his father left as his parental figure, Lancer wants to make the best of it and wants to make his father proud, and spend all the time he can with him before it is too late.
Azzy: Azzy roamed the halls, trying to figure out where her first class was. As she walked down the halls, she accidentally bumped into one of the popular kids.
Popular kid: “Hey, watch it.” She said, pushing Azzy to the floor. She gave Azzy a black eye and walked away.
Azzy: She threw her hood back over her head and got up. Azzy stayed silent while walking to her class. Blood dripped from her black eye, so she covered it with a patch and put her bangs over it. She looks at her schedule. It read ‘Magic 101’. Azzy walks into the classroom, blasting her music in her headphones. She could care less about getting a good grade at school. She walked to her seat and sat down, staying quiet. She had her music so loud, she did not hear when the lunch bell rang.
Shana: Shana waited till almost all of the students left; she then closed her book and then stood up from her seat and stretched. She then grabbed her book off the desk and began to walk out of class. She noticed another student with a hood stayed after class. Shana thought to keep on walking but knew that if she didn’t find out why this person was staying after class and didn’t help them Marko would bug her till the sun rises the next morning. Shana decides to walk up to the stranger and hopes they aren’t violent and gently taps on their shoulder. “Um excuse me I couldn’t help but notice that you stayed after class are you ok? Also, the bell rang,” said Shana with a smile looking at Azzy.
Lancer: After getting ready to go to school, he hugs his elderly father goodbye. “Bye, Dad.” “Goodbye, my son. Look how handsome you are. Your mother would be so proud of you. Now go on, out into the world. Don’t mess this up.” As Lancer almost exits the door, his father quickly stops him. “And Lancer...?” said Lancer’s father as he coughs. Lancer’s father’s voice was hoarse. “Yeah, Dad?” asks Lancer as he looks at his father. “...Make me proud. I love you. His father looks up and smiles. “And so does your mother.” Lancer and his father both tear up. Lancer thinks to himself that he hasn’t heard the words “I love you” from his father in years. Things went dark after his mother’s tragic death. He and his father haven’t been the same since. “Love you too, Dad.” Lancer and his father hug each other for a bit. After the hug, both Lancer and his father waved goodbye to each other. Lancer walks outside his house and closes the door. He then smiles to himself, but it was a broken smile. A smile that he feels the need to keep hidden from the world. A smile that he feels nobody else should know the story about. He then starts making his trip to school, smiling of course, but hiding it.
Shana: After realizing this stranger was either ignoring her or was listening to music too loud, she decided to leave the person alone. She didn’t want to miss her lunch and draw attention to herself. Shana simply walked away from the person and walked through the hallways to the cafeteria. The food at the cafeteria was not great. It was ok at best, but sometimes Shana could not take the taste of school foods and different foods. And today was one of those days. The cafeteria was serving cooked fish with rice and baby carrots with chocolate milk. Once Shana got her food she went outside the cafeteria and sat on a bench by the rain, but not in the rain. As Shana began to eat the food, she quickly stopped eating. The fish tasted like rubber, the rice tasted like small bad rocks and the carrots tasted like dust to her. She couldn’t bare eating any of it. She put the food to the side of her and looked around. Everyone was inside the cafeteria so it was a good time to take a break. Shana took a deep breath and closed her eyes and listened to the rain. Everything went dark around her as she could hear the rain, and wind and the creatures around her mind began to remember the things that happened in the past but it was all a blur and the voices were muffled or she couldn’t understand a thing. She tried to remember what happened so long ago, but couldn’t and once she managed to get a clear picture or a clear hearing of what they were saying, it all disappeared and she was back to listening to the rain at the school. Shana sighed and decided she would wait here till the bell rang, but she knew it wouldn’t be for a while and she knew she wasn’t going to eat anything. She wondered if the food from the cafeteria tasted good and if it was her taste buds that messed up the flavors for her.
Azzy: Azzy looked up from the floor and realized everyone else had left. She got up, yawning, and decided to go to the lunch room. Azzy kept her head down low and her hands in her pockets. She continued walking, eventually deciding to go outside. She continued looking down, walking towards the fountain outside, and sat on the edge of it. She rocked her legs back and forth as they hung off the ledge. She thought she was alone so she decided to let out her wings, and tail, and pull down her hood, exposing her two different colored horns. Azzy took the eyepatch off, letting the blood from her eye drip down onto her hoodie. Her eyes were separate colors, one blue and one red.
Lancer: Suspecting that he is being followed, Lancer quickly makes a run for it and hides in a bush. He then begins to make his very first transformation... into a human. It hurts him at first, but then it was done. Because he is a human now, he has normal skin color instead of being blue all over. He adjusts his tie from his suit confidently and then his fedora. Then, looking around, he quickly gets out of the bush and grabs his backpack, which has nothing inside of it. Lancer doesn’t really know what a backpack is used for, but he would always watch all the other kids wearing one walking to school, so he figured that he would just steal one left unattended lying on the ground one day. Walking to high school now, he gets inside the building. He looks around at the other kids and sees how they are walking. He doesn’t hunch his back anymore and instead walks straight. He then makes it to the cafeteria. Lancer is very nervous if he eats the human food from the cafeteria correctly, otherwise the others would get suspicious, and think he’s a very strange messy individual with no manners. Or they might think and figure out he is a dangerous and deadly wolf in disguise, which he is, of course. So, he orders food, grabs his lunch tray, which contains fish, steak, an apple, carrots, mashed potatoes, and a carton of milk, walks over to an empty table, and sits down there. He begins to wonder to himself: ‘Do humans wait for food to be handed to them?’ Lancer remembers all the times his Dad taught him how to hunt when he was a little wolf pup. He still remembers his favorite memory from his times with his father, lingering in his mind. Lancer remembers how proud his father was of him when he hunted a huge bison. He said, “Way to go! That’s my boy!” And they feasted on the bison together. He feels uncomfortable at the fact that humans don’t have to do any of this hunting. Well, except for the time long ago when he witnessed with his very own eyes a huge hunter fellow who murdered his mother with a shotgun. He begins to tear up, just a little enough so that nobody else would notice. He wipes his tears away. He then eats all the food off of his plate, strongly resisting just grabbing the tray and shoving it all into his mouth. Then, he drinks his milk. Done with everything, he throws the tray into the garbage bin. Before exiting the cafeteria, he begins to look at the other kids, and how happy they are with their friends and all. Lancer wishes he could have a life like this, but then remembered how grateful he should be that he at least has such a close relationship with his father. ‘Pssh... I don’t need friends. Why the heck would I want to meet any strangers? I don’t know them. My Dad has the same worth as any friendship these puny humans have ever had. They have no idea. My Dad is worth way more than that, actually.’ He says in his mind. He scoffs a little to himself and walks outside of the school where students are sitting on the grass hanging out. He then sits down somewhere and then lays down. Lancer thinks to himself: ‘I don’t need to learn anything humans need to know... I just wanted a free feast.’ He then smiles to himself and takes a nap. Relaxing, just relaxing.
Shana: Shana opened her eyes and looked around. She didn’t see anyone nearby so she gets up off the bench and walks into the rain. Shana then stretches and looks up into the clouds. She then pulls a hood over her head from her leather jacket and begins to walk around. She takes a deep breath and tries to think of what she was forgetting.
Azzy: Azzy looks around to see everyone getting up to leave for the next class. The bell rings, startling her. She barely catches herself before she falls to the ground. She shakes her head, and puts her wings in, hood up, and patch on, putting her bangs in front of her black eye again. She enjoyed the half-hour of freedom, the half-hour of being able to expose herself without worry. Azzy takes a deep breath and walks to her next class, her head hanging low.
Shana: When Shana hears the bell ring she sighs and gives up on trying to remember what she had forgotten. She began to think of Marko and what he was doing. He did quite enjoy rainy days as she was thinking and heading toward class. She accidentally bumps into someone. “Gah sorry.” Shana began to blush because she was embarrassed for being dumb and not paying attention. The person she bump into was Azzy.
Lancer: Lancer abruptly wakes up from a loud noise coming straight from the school’s building. “Hmm? What’s that?!” He says, rubbing his eyes.
School Janitor: “It’s the school bell, kid. Figured you’d know what it means, but it must be your first day here or somethin’. Well anywho... You gotta get up and get on your way to class, or else you’ll be late.”
Lancer: “Late? Is that something humans have to worry about in their daily lives at their school?” The school janitor gives him a weird look. Lancer quickly realizes how absurd it sounds that he had just said what he said. Afraid now of blowing his cover, he quickly, but nervously says: “Uhh...I mean. Not that I’m not a human myself. Pssh... of course, I am! He then thinks of something else quickly. “Look! That other kid’s not in class either! Why don’t you interrogate him instead!” The janitor looks behind him.
School Janitor: “Wait for just a second... There are no other kids around out here-”
Lancer: Lancer then makes a quick run for it before the janitor looks back at him. He runs far away, far from the school now. He is now sprinting and runs back to his home. He quickly closes the door and stops inside. His father isn’t home. ‘Probably just hunting for another animal for us to eat when he gets back home.’ Lancer thinks to himself. “Yep. That’s it. Nothing to worry about.” Lancer thinks how much of a fool he is for being this close to blowing his cover. Then, worrying about his father accidentally seeing his human form when he comes back home, Lancer quickly transforms back into a wolf. Then he waits patiently, just waiting. Waiting until his father comes back home. Soon, hopefully. Or else.
Azzy: Azzy shakes her head, disoriented for a second from being hit. She looks up and nods, giving a fake smile. She looks back at the floor and continues walking.
Shana: Shana feels bad, but gets up off the floor and stands up. Shana then heads to her next class which was English class.
Azzy: Azzy headed to English class. She kept her vow she made to keep everyone safe. She did not feel bad that she ignored everyone. She didn’t care and she never will. That’s just how she is and she is proud of it. If she didn’t keep silent, all hell would turn loose. She refused to show affection because she would rather be heartless than have her heart torn into pieces. ’That’s the way it should be she thought to herself.
Lancer: After waiting for so long until his father returns from whatever he is doing, and wherever he is, Lancer’s father finally returns to the house. He scratches the door a few times, being one of his natural wolf instincts, instead of knocking on the door, as humans do. Lancer jumps up with excitement and quickly opens it for him. “Dad! How are you? Where have you been? I was so worried!” exclaimed Lancer. “Lancer, cough cough...son.” His Dad wheezes. “I was...hunting for a...moose, you know...he groans for us to eat together.” said Lancer’s father. “Uhh...Dad? You okay?” Lancer asks. Lancer looks at his Dad’s side, noticing his Dad covering it up with his hand. Lancer then notices some blood dripping down from it. “Dad! A moose did this to you?!” His Dad looks him right in the eye. He sighs. “Fine... I don’t have much time to live anyway... I might as well tell you the truth now before it’s too late. Just-...just don’t freak out, okay?” said Lancer’s father looking at Lancer as he walked inside the house and sits on the couch. Lancer nods agreeing. His Dad begins, “Lancer, my boy... It wasn’t a moose who attacked me.” Lancer widens his eyes in worry. His Dad continues, “It...it was another wolf.” Lancer stutters aggressively, in complete shock. “Lancer... c’mere, kid.” His Dad motions for him to come to join him on the couch. Lancer does as told. “D-dad? Does this mean...sniff... Does this mean you’re going to d-d-d-d-die? Like-...like right now?” His Dad stays silent. “Dad? Dad, just tell me the truth. It wasn’t your fault. You’re elderly. That other wolf had no idea who he just went up against! He should’ve known not to mess with you! And-and-” Lancer’s Dad stopped him and quickly hugged him. Lancer returns the gesture. His Dad cries, and Lancer cries with him. “First Mom, not you too!” With the father and son duo embracing and expressing their emotions from this sad reveal, it is still quite unknown how much time left Lancer’s father has until his untimely death. Lancer’s father feels defeated. And Lancer himself feels...guilt...just plain guilt. Guilt, because Lancer’s father has only a few minutes left to live. But Lancer...he just couldn’t save his old man in time.
Shana: Shana sat by the window in English class. She just finished the writing assignment that the teacher passed out a while ago. She watched the rain fall and was excited to leave class soon and head to her last class of the day. Her last class is called math 106, but in reality, it is a class for any hybrid or mythical creature to go to. It’s a free class period and you get to go home early if you needed or wanted to. Shana learned in the class of hybrid and mythical creatures different languages in the past and even a new ability known as the nine senses, which allows her to communicate with non-speaking animals or people who speak sign language. She also learned some other stuff in the class but right now she is to focus on the rain. As she stared into the rain and looks outside, she breathed once and let her surroundings fade away. Her nine senses activated and could see that something was crossing the water that lay on the floor from the rain. It was rain elks crossing the basketball fields and heading to the forest by the school. Rain elks are deer/elks that travel with the rain they always migrate in the rain and are made of water. Only a few can see them, but many are common to notice if they are non-human.
Azzy: Azzy waited for the bell to ring so she could get out of that terrible place. It was already turning out to be a terrible school year and she had just gotten there. The bell rang and she ran out of the classroom, knocking Shana over in the process. She paused and looked at Shana, blood dripping down onto Shana’s forehead from Azzy’s eye. Azzy shook her head and went to walk away.
Shana: Shana wiped away the blood off her forehead and grabbed Azzy by the hand. Shana then stood up off her seat and pulled out an ice pack and wrapped it in paper towels and handed it to Azzy. “Are you alright? You seem to be bleeding.” Asked Shana calmly looking at Azzy. Shana was surprised by Azzy because she wasn’t paying attention to her surroundings.
Azzy: Azzy just nodded, taking her hand from Shana’s grasp. She walked towards the school’s exit and went home. When she got there, she went to her room and cried. She didn’t fit in anywhere.
Lancer: “You’re...your mother loved you very much, boy. You hear me?” Says Lancer’s Dad. Lancer nods while more tears start to fill his eyes. His Dad continues. “Now...I know I don’t say this a lot...but, I love you. Just know that...I loved you too.” There’s a long silence. Finally, Lancer responds, “L-loved? Like...as in past tense?” “Yes, Lancer. Now cough, cough...you gotta promise me one thing after I die, kid. Don’t let anybody in this world intimidate you. Stand up for yourself. Be the best hunter you could ever be. You understand me, boy?” Said Lancer’s father as Lancer’s father lays down on the couch. Lancer agrees, “Sniff...I promise, Dad. The most important thing I’ve ever wanted to do in my life, in my entire twenty-one years of living...is to make you proud.” Lancer’s Dad smiles. “That’s right. I raised a good son. Me...and your mother.” Lancer’s Dad slowly closes his eyes as his body is getting weaker and weaker. Lancer cries very much. “And Dad?... I love you too.” Lancer kisses his father on the forehead. Lancer’s father makes one very last statement before he dies, his very last words: “And son?” “Yeah...Dad?” “I’ll finally reunite with your mother again in years... we’re going to be dancing together...in heaven.” His Dad has his eyes closed and gives a heartbroken smile. Lancer, still crying, calms down at his father’s last statement. He smiles too. His father’s heartbeat officially stops, and he is now dead. Lancer notices, and he replies with, “Yeah...sniff... I guess so...”
Shana: After Azzy left and didn’t take the ice pack Shana blinked in surprise as she put the ice pack away in her backpack. Shana then left the class and decided she was going to go to the forest to meet up with Marko. Shana walked out of school and went to the forest nearby. The forest was an oak and spruce tree forest. She saw the last rain elks enter the forest. Shana then looked around before she decides to enter the forest. She didn’t see anyone around before entering the forest. Shana walked for a bit and went deeper into the heart of the forest. Once she was far enough into the forest she put her backpack in an open log on the floor. She then shapeshifted into a water bird. The bird she shapeshifts into is made of complete water and is nonvisible to regular eyes. Shana took to the sky and noticed a big wolf covered in blood below the trees. She decided to ignore the wolf and kept flying toward Marko. Shana water bird looked like a bird made of water of a hawk and phoenix.
Marko: Marko stretched out his fiery wings in his cave. As much as he loves the rain, he smelled blood in one of the houses nearby. When he was flying over earlier he noticed an elder wolf was bleeding, but he had a feeling even if he tried to help, the elder wolf would have died a lot sooner. So Marko decided it would be better to stay away for now and not be involved in a wolf packs argument. Marko wondered how Shana was doing and how her new school was going. Marko managed to claim some land earlier today. Today he was a little upset about having to leave his forest but knew if he didn’t he would have most likely died. Marko jumped down from the stone edge that he was on and landed on the cold ground. Marko was in his phoenix form. He watched the rain pitter-patter on the green wet grass. Marko stayed in the cave and began to pace. He was worried about all the new creatures and how these humans felt about creatures like him. He was also worried that he wouldn’t be accepted into this new ecosystem and go through hell, again. I mean he survived because he was in a phoenix form, but he got lucky and so did everyone else he knew. Marko was even more worried about if the Anomaly hunters were already here and they were already hunting in this forest. I mean for crying out loud they even at one point took Marko’s little brother away and forced him to fight Shana, and that was not ok. Thankfully they got Marko’s little brother back, but it was at a great cost. “Ugh, where is SHANA?! She has been gone all day! Can’t she hurry up?!” Complained Marko, as he stopped pacing and looked at the rain again.
Azzy: Azzy goes to bed that night, drowning in her sorrows. Her tears dripped sore that night even though she hid under cover. She felt dead inside, as she drifted off into a nightmare. She awoke the next morning, on time for once. She threw on her hood per usual and did her daily routine. Her reflection in the mirror disgusted her and made her feel like a disgrace. She threw on her hood and walked to school as the sun was high in the sky unlike yesterday when all it did was rain. She kept her head hanging low and covered her scars with her sleeves. Her eye was bruised from the day before, but luckily it no longer bled. She hung her head as she walked to her first class, dragging her feet. She sat in the back and put her feet up on the back of the chair in front of her. She blasted her music again, not having a care in the world about who was in front of her. Azzy closed her eyes, while her head hung low. She drifted into deep thought as the class continued. The teacher called her name a few times, but she couldn’t hear. She cared not about what they could want. She drifted into an augmented reality where everything was perfect and she was accepted for once but was brought back to the hell she lived in when a kid passed by and knocked her out of her seat. Everyone seemed to point and laugh, but she just stood up and brushed herself off. Her expression darkened as she tried to contain her rage.
Lancer: Now being the only member of his pack still alive, not to mention having both parents dead, Lancer begins to contemplate his life. He spends the next few days mourning his father’s death. “UGH...IT’S ALL MY FAULT! IT SHOULD’VE BEEN ME! I DESERVE TO BE DEAD BY NOW!” He exclaims. After a few minutes, he calms down. “I should’ve gotten shot by that hunter long ago instead, not my mother. I should’ve gotten attacked and murdered by that other wolf that attacked my father. It should’ve been me...“Lancer gets up and throws a chair in aggression”...sniff...Mama...Papa...” Lancer cried. He then drops to the ground and covers his face with both hands in shame. Starting to get dehydrated from crying so much, all Lancer can do now is only shed a single tear. “...It...should’ve...been...me...”
??? : Lancer hears tapping on the top of the window of his house.
Lancer: “Hmm? Well, who the hell could that be?!“Lancer checks. “Go away! I don’t want company right now!” He closes the blinds of the window as he saw something outside his window before he closed it. He then says to himself quietly, “How did anybody find our house...? Out isolated in the wilderness?” After a few moments, Lancer opens the blinds again. He doesn’t know what he is seeing. There was an odd small figure hidden in one of the dead trees next to Lancer’s house in the middle of the forest. This creature outside of his window is so...unusual. Then, he carefully opens the door...
???: A tree branch from the dead tree next to Lancer’s house hits him in the face it was a tiny tree branch so it didn’t hurt as the tree branch hit Lancer a small shadowy figure jumped from the branch and into the house the small shadowy figure climbs up into the roof inside and hid in the shadows away from Lancer.
Lancer: “Oww-! What the-...what the heck was that?! ” He growls. He then looks back around behind him. “Now is it just me, or did something come inside the house? Hmm... psh...Nah, I must be seeing things.” He then closes the door.
??? : The shadow thing moves silently in the rafters watching Lancer from afar. The shadow thing was fairly small.
Lancer: One of Lancer’s ears twitches slightly. “Am...am I hearing things too? D-dad? Is that your ghost? Or is that another random ghost coming to haunt me?” Lancer growls and shows his teeth, and he brings out his claws too. “Come out and fight me! I’m not afraid of you!”
???: The shadow thing stopped moving and jumped and chucked an acorn across the room to the bottom floor. The shadowed figure landed on a different raft behind it and didn’t move. Shadow thing thinks ’If it can’t see me then it won’t do anything and kept repeating it over and over in its head.
Lancer: Lancer takes a step closer. He then looks at the acorn curiously. “Where did this come from?” He grabs and sniffs the acorn. “Okay now...stop messing with me. I’m serious! I can’t see you, whoever you are! You better show yourself...or else.” Lancer throws the acorn and continues to look around the room for any clues of whatever could have possibly entered his house.
??? : ‘Oh dear my distraction didn’t work. What do I do? What do I do....ummmm what would Marko do. I mean he’s smart in all but like he’s Marko.....ok just calm down what would Shana do. She would think of a plan of how to escape so how do I do that..... ugh why did I agree to help scout again....it was for cookies....ok so I guess go with plan B I got this.’ Thought the shadow figure as he jumped from rafter to rafter and dropped another acorn by the door.
Lancer: Lancer’s other ear twitches this time, as he walks over and takes a look at the second acorn dropped. He chuckles to himself. “Acorns? What, did a squirrel run inside here or something?”
??S: The shadow then jumped off the rafters and landed on Lancer’s head. ‘Don’t be suspicious, don’t be suspicious. Don’t be suspicious.’ thinks in its head.
Lancer: “Hmm? Oh, you gotta be kidding me.” Lancer looks up to see that the shadow figure was a small squirrel creature who has randomly landed on top of his head. He then licks his lips and smiles. “Free food... hehe.” Lancer grabs the creature and opens his mouth to attempt to eat it. He successfully stuffs the creature in his mouth and slobbers all over it. “I’m gonna eat you up! You messed with the wrong wolf! Yum...”
??S: The squirrel then transforms into a fire squirrel to defend itself and stop itself from being eaten.
Lancer: Lancer closes his mouth and smiles. But then, he starts to notice this strong burning sensation inside of it. It gets hotter...and hotter...and hotter. “AHHHH! ” He quickly spits the creature out. “What the hell did I just try to eat?! I thought this was just a regular squirrel.”
?FS: ” You jerk do you think it’s ok to stuff random food in your mouth like what if I was a porcupine you could have gotten seriously hurt. I mean at least make sure I’m dead before you try and eat me and add some salt it would have tasted so much better and by the way. Who are you? Are there more of you and can I have my acorns back plz?” Says the FS as he sits and looks at Lancer with big puppy.
Lancer: “Ahh...so you do speak. Well, I guess you’re not a ghost like I thought. Hmm...alright well first of all...I’m a wolf alright? I have the instinct to eat smaller mammals whenever I get hungry...I’m a predator. I don’t think, I just do.” Lancer chuckles. “Salt? I don’t need it to make sure that my prey is tasty. Wait, first of all...who the heck are you? This is my house, and you are the intruder. Why did you even come here in the first place? I should be asking who you are, pipsqueak. Well...there were more of me, but unfortunately my parents both died. So, I’m the only pack member in my family left. Uhh...acorns? Yeah, yeah sure...I guess. Why did you even throw your precious acorns anyway? To try and get my attention? Pshh...please. Now go and try to be stupid somewhere else. I don’t have the time to argue with inferior creatures who, not to mention, are way smaller than me. Now go on, scram. Go warn your other squirrel buddies that you witnessed a big bad wolf. See if I care. I’ll eat the rest of them too. Nothing can stop me. You think I’m afraid of you and your kind?” Lancer laughs sarcastically and shakes his head in disbelief.
?FS: “Well your rude and why would you even ask me questions if you want me to leave you it make no sense also I have no squirrel friends and you seem like you have somewhat of an ego complex so I hope you fix that also don’t call me dumb you meanie I may be not as smart as you but don’t go picking on the little guys. Plus I was gonna have some empathy for you about your parents cause I lost mine too but no you have to be a jerk and be all egotistic and mean. Maybe you don’t have anyone else because of your big fat ego! Can’t you at least try and be nice and try to see other people stand points instead of criticizing them for their smallness? I mean like try and see where others come from you jerk!“?FS stands on two feet and shapes shifts into a cloud puppy wolf and looks like he is crying with puppy eyes and his ears back. A cloud puppy wolf is just a puppy wolf that looks like they’re made of clouds.
Lancer: “Listen, kid. Now I don’t know how your parents raised you, but you should probably know by now that the world isn’t all sunshine and rainbows like you thought. People are going to be mean to you. So you just have to suck it up and deal with it, like I was taught to. I still want you to leave, believe me. But after you answer my questions, like I just answered yours. No, you make no sense. What idiot comes inside a random house? You should’ve left when you had the chance. You saw that I was a wolf. If anything, you’re mean too. Did you honestly just say that I don’t have anyone else because of my ‘big fat ego’?! Listen here you little brat! My parents died, not because of me, but because of other people! So don’t you dare pick the blame on me! Your annoying attitude is why you don’t have any other squirrel friends! Not to mention, parents too! Everyone else probably wanted to die on purpose, just so they could get away from you! ” Growls Lancer angrily looking at ?FS.
(?FS is CW? because they shapeshift from fire squirrel to cloud puppy.)
CW?: “First off I don’t have any squirrel friends because some jerk killed them off in front of me and all I have left is my big brother who only gave two flying acorns about me. I tried to be nice and I came here to find out if that wolf that got attacked by a bigger wolf the other day was ok but no I get greater by a fat jerk-off person who has no moral of anyone else feeling besides their own! You know what Fine, You jerk I’ll just leave but I won’t tell you who hurt your last pack member I just wanted to help!” CW? Gets up and goes through the door and leaves.
Lancer: “What the hell did you just call me, you freakin-...yeah! You better leave! I don’t care! I’ll just find that information out on my own! I don’t need some little idiot jerk to come and tell me!” Yells Lancer angrily as Lancer throws both acorns to attempt to hit the little cloud puppy wolf but he missed because he was too fast. “And here’s the acorns you asked for, you freak! You sad, pathetic excuse for a squirrel! Ugh!” Lancer slams the door in frustration.
CW?: Runs back to the cave where Marko and Shana were. CW? Turns back into a squirrel that is not on fire and cries next to his big bro Marko and explains what happens to him.
Marko: “Wow that jerk. If I see him around I’ll make sure to poop on him in bird form to get vengeance for you little bro.” Said Marko putting his wings over his little brother Tony.
Shana: “and if I see him I’ll hit on the back of the head if I can,” said Shana in her white wolf snow form. “Why don’t you get some sleep for now I need to talk to Marko for a bit,” said Shana calmly as she looked at Tony and Marko as she sat down in the cave.
Marko: Marko gently picked up his brother in his phoenix form and gently put him in the hay nest he made. On a small opening in a wall of the cave that was next to some rocks that went up like a ramp. Marko turns into his cloud wolf form and gently nudges his little bro and tells him good night as Tony rolls up into a ball and starts to doze off. After a few minutes ?FS falls asleep. Marko then jumps off the ledge and walks up to Shana. “Let’s walk and talk,” said Marko calmly as he looks at Shana and starts to walk out of the cave.
Shana: Shana gets up and follows Marko into the forest. Shana knows Marko set up traps a while ago to protect Tony when he was out. Shana and Marko walked for a bit. “So there is a mean person in these woods that lives in a house we should stay clear of that Tony just found. There is also a stone brick old abandoned town nearby and a bunch of stone animal Statues all around the abandoned stone town. The stone brick town seems like it’s been there a while since trees, moss, and plants have taken it over growing inside and outside of the building. The stone town has a stone plaza with a marble fountain in the middle of it and then there are a bunch of other territories claimed by other animals. That is all I could gather for information today. What about you, Marko, find anything new today?” ask Shana as Marko and Shana were walking deep into the forest heart passing by a river.
Marko: “I found more animal bones, and different ruin rocks but nothing more than that. The town that you found in the forest seems interesting though were you able to explore it thoroughly?” he asked Shana as they were jumping from stone to stone to get across the river. The stones that they were going across were wet and slippery and smooth so during the night time it would usually be underwater.
Shana: “Unfortunately no I heard Tony howl cry when he was running home so I quickly came back when I barely found it.” Said Shana as she did that last stone jump to land on the mushy mud by the river.
Marko: “Alright then. Lead the way then let’s go take a look at this place maybe we might find out if this place is good enough to stay at or if it’s gonna be as bad as the last place.” Said Marko calmly as he made it across the stones and landed to the left of Shana.
Shana: “Oh come on Marko this place hasn’t been too bad. I mean we’ve been here for a month so far and nothing hasn’t gone super badly plus I don’t think anything could be as bad as that place. I mean that place was really bad......coughs anyways let’s keep going no point in standing here and doing nothing.” Said Shana as she began to walk to the abandoned town in the forest.
Twenty-five minutes later
Shana and Marko ended up at the abandoned stone town the town was in a keyhole shape the buildings were all around the long road and at the end was the plaza. The floors were stone pathways but moss, grass, flowers, and other things in the pathway have taken over the old floors. The buildings had broken windows and anything that would have been considered modern at the time became old rusted and broken down. Plants were growing on the outside and inside of the houses. Big strong trees have grown inside some of the houses and seem to have broken out of the house and broken the roof. As Shana and Marko walked in the long pathway to the plaza they noticed a bunch of different animals have made their habitats here. They saw rabbits, snails, bobcats, goats, small Yorkie dogs, and many different types of birds and bugs. Shana and Marko eventually made it to the plaza and in the plaza was a tall marble fountain that had moss and vines growing out of it with cracks in the marble and no water inside. As they looked around they saw statues that looked unaged and untouched. The statues were different animals. There was a big wolf, a giant snake, a big ram, a tiger, and a few more.
Marko: “Interesting, it seems like this place has been abandoned for some time now. Odd how these statues haven’t been touched by the natural elements of the world around them.” Said Marko Calmly as he walks around the broken fountain.
Shana: “Yeah it is odd but I think it’s odder that there is a town here and no one knew about it. I mean it’s an entire town.” said Shana walking next to Marko as they walked around looking at the statues.
Marko: Marko sighs and stops and listens to his surroundings. Marko didn’t hear anything out of the normal just regular animals in a new ecosystem. “It is odd but it doesn’t seem like there is anything dangerous or suspicious here. Maybe the Anomaly hunters never came here?” Said Marko looking at Shana.
Shana: “Yeah maybe we can just hope they never will find this place or they are here and we just missed them.” Said Shana as Marko and she began to head back to Marko and Tony’s home/den.
Marko: “We can only hope that they are not here and never find this odd place. Come on let’s head back quickly it’s starting to get late” Said Marko as he raced Shana back to his house.
Azzy: Azzy finally gives in and spreads her wings, exposing her horns and tail. She perks her ears up in anger and rage. Her eyes turn blood red and they start to glow. You could see flames in her eyes as flames combust around her. “LEAVE. ME. ALONE!” She screams. Her screech shook the building. She runs out of the building, tears forming in her eyes. Her expression darkened. Flames spread from head to tail, and she was completely covered. She ran through the school building and into the forest. Tears dropped from her eyes, stinging her cheeks. ‘No. No, no, no. Calm. Calm.’ She thought to herself. Her eyes went back to their normal colors, her wings folded in, and she threw her hood over her head to hide her horns. Her ears went back down into their normal position. She sat down on the ground and watched as the moon rose. She collapsed from all the energy she had just used due to her transformation and then everything went black.
Tony: Tony woke up a little while ago and decided to go out. He wanted to prove that he wasn’t a weakling like that mean old jerk from the forest house said. Tony was walking in the forest in his Cloud puppy wolf form. He was walking for a while and sorta got lost. Tony tries to use his sense of smell like he used to find his way back home but this was a new forest with smells. Tony then noticed someone was unconscious by a tree. Tony quickly ran to them and gently nudges their head with his snout.
Azzy: Azzy opened her eyes slowly. She took a deep breath and pushed herself up. She was startled by the creature next to her, cocking her head to the side. She slowly started to back up, frightened. She hyperventilated for a second, breathing unsteadily.
Lancer: Lancer slowly breathes in and out to calm himself down from getting angry and frustrated earlier. He decides to open the front door of his home, assuming the stubborn brat little creature from before is not present, or that he went running to a completely different region, even. Then, he went outside his forest home and closed the door behind him. He spotted a beaver in his sight far away, but close enough so he could see it. Then, he goes four-legged and it’s not long before he sprints toward the beaver. The beaver attempted to run away, but Lancer was simply too fast for the beaver. Lancer catches the beaver in his jaws. Lancers with his wolf instincts kills the beaver. Then, after a short while, he proceeds to eat all of the Beaver, everything, including the bones, as Lancer’s teeth and jaws are sharp enough to crunch and devour them. “That was delicious. Guess those hunting techniques from my Dad paid off after all, now that I don’t have him to help me anymore. I’m such a clever wolf.” He chuckles to himself. Then he roams around the forest, checking for anything else in his path. He sniffs around too. “Nope. Nothing else here. Just some insects, mice, rabbits, snakes, squirrels...he winces. ugh, I hate squirrels now, after the encounter with that little brat. Hope I never see him again. Anyway...gotta move onward.” And so he continues to roam the forest, and sniff around for anything else to come in his path.
