Once again, we're moving to another town in another state. I actually really liked our old town than any of the other ones. Our last town was very beautiful especially at night, there was so much to do the only problem was that it was 50% safe. But the reason we're leaving isn't because of the safety it's because one of my good friends and roommate, Felix, couldn't let us stay a minute longer. I think he's paranoid and our other roommate, Julian, thinks so too because he thinks he saw someone coming into the house. I know the place wasn't completely safe but this is a bit much.

So now we're moving from Missouri to Georgia which is a really long drive. Felix wanted to go straight there without any breaks but Julian wasn't going for it. After a few hours, we stopped at a motel and even though I had no say in this whole trip at all, I had to pay for the room.

"This sucks..." I said to myself as I got the motel doors.

As soon as I walked in I could see the decorations were really nice and a few plants in the corners but I was looking for any tables or chairs to sit in because I was so tired then I bumped into someone. I almost lost my balance but the person wrapped their strong arm around my waist and I grabbed their shirt tightly hoping I didn't fall. I looked up at the person and couldn't take my eyes off of him. He had to have been 6'10 maybe but he had bright blue eyes, beautiful melanin skin, and his buzz cut black hair made my heart skip a beat.

"I-I'm so sorry. I wasn't paying attention..." I said almost in a panic. He smiled sweetly at me and my whole body wanted to cling to him. "You're really attractive has anyone ever said that?"

He chuckled and answered, "Actually, you'd be the first. I'm hardly noticeable to most people. But are you okay?"

His deep voice was about to make me melt. "I might faint if you keep being attractive."

He chuckled again. "As much as I don't want you to faint, I also need my shirt." I looked down and saw that I was close to ripping his shirt off. The man saw me panic and helped me balance myself and carefully let go of his shirt. "Can you walk alright?"

"I think so thank you." I got to the counter, I tried checking in but the cashier said there was a reservation under my name but the weird thing is I never made a reservation... I took the key anyway and when I turned to talk to the man again, he was gone. "I'm not imaging things... Right?"

I ran to the car and got my two friends out and as we were going to the room I got, I was frantically searching for the man I bumped into. He would be very easy to spot so how did he vanished so quickly?

Eventually, I gave up and went back to my friends because there was no way I could find him with a tired brain but something was telling me he was nearby. I wanted to turn around but just remembering my brain does that when I'm tired just felt annoying. I laid on the bed closest to the door and sighed heavily.

"What's wrong with you?" Felix asked then I heard Julian yawn.

I sat up and walked up to Julian. "What the fuck Julian?! You said my grip was always weak! Why did you lie to me?! I almost ripped a guy's shirt!"

Julian looked at me with tired eyes and said, "I do not care. Be glad you didn't break something on the way here."

I grabbed Julian by his shirt ready to scream at him but Felix pulled me back and sat me on his bed to calm me down. For a few minutes, I tried getting out of his grasp to yell at my sleeping friend but my body gave out. I stumbled to the bathroom to change into my pajamas but when I saw a folded note with a blue heart drawn on top of it, my heart sank.

This is something I've been hiding from my two friends but I think I have a stalker. Wherever I go, I see the same heart on different love notes but they start getting creepier every time I read them but when we were in our old town I was always surrounded by people so the letters didn't come as often but how is it possible that it showed up in a motel? I cautiously picked up the note, unfolding it and reading it's contents. It read,

'My sweet Riley,

Of all places you could've stayed the night, you decided to come to me again. I can't tell you how enchanting it is to see you clearly again especially away from all the crowds of people. It must've made you more anxious than before but none the less, I made sure you have the most comfortable room in this motel. I would've preferred a better place but if you're satisfied then as am I.

I'll see you soon and love you from afar, your forever lover.'

I put the note in my pants pocket and hoped for a pleasant night. I laid in my bed and it was really comfortable but knowing the stalker paid for it makes me more nervous because they know what room I'm in and could be around here somewhere. I calmed myself down but asked Felix to make sure the door had all the locks on it. He stood up and checked the door and reassured me that we were safe. I didn't feel completely safe and I know he would be the first person I would've told about the notes but just seeing how he gets more anxious than me when it comes to burglars, there's no way I could tell him about a stalker. Maybe he was right to make us leave after all.
