Chapter 1

Trina's POV

This is going to be my dream wedding come true. Everything is just falling into place, I don't want to jinx it and say its perfect and at this time nothing can go wrong.

James is the love of my love a love story made for the storybooks. It was a normal mundane morning nothing spectacular about it. Am on my morning run and when I was making my way back home I see a man who seemed stranded and his car had broken down. I stopped to ask him if he needed help not that I know about cars anyway.

Trina: heey do you need a hand?

James: do you know about cars?

Those eyes! Those eyes are like molten chocolate the man was handsome. I secretly high five myself for choosing to be a good Samaritan. This is what they would call a cute meet now I have to find something quirky to say

Trina: at least I know it's a car.

James: do you believe in fate?

He slipped his phone into his back pocket. Gave a hint of a smile as I slowy shook my head. Pyscho much I think I need to stay away from the handsome ones.

James: am not a creep.

Could have fooled me I mumble under my breath

Trina: well I really don't know anything about cars and am seriously running late. Let me get going.

James: let me take my statement from the top. I was having a hectic morning and this car just decided to give up on me. I was about to call for another car then you came my way.

He paused trying to gauge my reaction to him. He senses am biting into his fate version of events. If I get killed by a serial killer it's because he would be handsome and am a sucker for a good face.

James: and fortunately you also don't know about cars. So I had the chance to talk to you. Can you please wait for me while another car comes to pick me up.

I raise an eyebrow battling with myself deciding if I should join him in his wait.

James: I swear I am not a creep. I saw a cafe whilst I was driving past. Public place if I creep you out you will have witnesses

Trina: fine!

What was supposed to be one cup of coffee turned into a breakfast. A few minutes into two hours. He just got me and we were not struggling for conversation. I look at my watch and gasp.

Trina: James!

James: Trina! He mimicks my shock

Trina: it's been two good hours

James: great company great food I guess

Trina: am going to be soooo late.

Am panicking already .

Trina: and why is the car not coming to pick you up

James: I have not technically called for it yet.

Trina: what!!!

James: well I said I was about to call if your memory serves you well. You came along and then I didn't. I was not giving up the chance of knowing you better.

And that's how the fairy tale began. He completed me, understood me and cared for me beyond measure. I could feel it in everything he did for me and I was over the moon. Just a week and we tie the knot. I get giddy with excitement just thinking about my perfect little intimate wedding.

What could go wrong?

I'm brought out of my daze by my ringing phone. I know it's James checking in on me as he usually does. A flash of disappointment goes through my heart when I see it's my dad calling. I love my dad to the moon and back but I was hoping it would be James.

Trina: hi Dad!

Dad: hi angel.

He sounds tired if late but I chalk it up to the pre wedding pressure.

Trina: how was your day?

Dad: fine. Heey my baby do you have plans tonight

Trina: yes we're hoping to catch a moment to ourselves before the wedding at a quiet dinner tonight. And James said it would be a surprise.

Dad: please cancel and come home immediately once you are done.

Trina: but.

Dad: it's really important if it wasn't I wouldn't ask

Trina: but James

Dad: don't worry I will talk to him make sure 6 pm you are at the house.

Trina: if you say so then so be it. But you call James I can't bear to break my promise to him.

Dad: ok don't worry about it.

He cut off the connection. That when I think back James hasn't called me the entire day. He must be planning that surpe
