Chapter 1
(This is my first story so don’t mind the Cringe or
My name is Summer. I’m a 5’6 black American ( or whatever your from ) who just turned 19 this month. I live with my mom. Her name is Maya and she is 46 years old. I don’t have any siblings. I'm an only child which I kinda like cause I get everything.
“Summer, wake up, you're gonna be late”. Summer is all I heard as I groan from my bed. I love my mom really. But where does she get all that energy from I don’t know I can barely move when I wake up much less stand up or start getting ready for something that I forgot about “Summer” my mom calls again this time into my room which I can’t really tell her to get out. cause I might get backhand in the mouth, then put out myself. My mom comes in talking about me getting up for a job then everything comes back to me. I had a job interview today and I was going to be late if I didn’t get up now.
I hurried out of bed and got up while my mom said something about if this wasn’t about me getting a job and having to pay rent now that she wouldn't care about me getting up and that breakfast would be down stairs.
I started to grab my clothes and everything else that I need for my interview I didn’t need to take shower I took one last night thank goodness that I did when I was done i went down stairs and saw my food on the kitchen table my mom made some eggs, grits, sausage I quickly ate and went on about my day after I put in the sink.
“Mom I’m leaving see you later” I called out I hear her said be safe before I left I told her I will and left out the door
I didn't have a car so I took the bus to my job interview. As I got on the bus I saw an old lady standing up so I did what's naturally right and asked one of the people to let the old lady sit.”Hello sir I was wondering if you could let this old lady sit where you are” the old lady standing up next to me hears me and starts telling me that's it's fine and there's no need for me to trouble this men but letting her stand was still not right so I wait for the man responds.
“Well you heard her she wants to stand up so let her” why was this world so cruel that you can't even let someone sit down in peace. “Could you be a decent human being an let an elderly lady sit down” maybe I wasn't be direct enough “Why the hell do I need to with all the other people on the bus and I was here first” I sigh because not the I was here first game it was like being a kid all over again. I was about to argue with this man about the lady but finally someone gave up their seat because their stops up next.
The old lady thanks me for getting her a seat to sit down in and I tell her no problem but something the old lady tells me that's odd “Why thank you my dear there's not many people in this world today that I know to be so kind. Only if we were in my world there most men know respect or they used too”. Now that right there made me think this woman should be looked at by a doctor. “Um your world, we kinda only have one world miss”
“Only a fool thinks that they could survive on there on with no another, the same thing could be said for the world because if this was the only place lifeforms could survive we would all die”
I still didn't understand what she could have meant by that but she continues on “but no worries because I have a feeling that you won't be around here for much longer” what she had said throw me for a loop but I couldn't focus on that right now because this was my stop so I say bye to the old lady and get off and make my way to my hopefully new job place if I pass this interview.
As I Go in for the interview I go straight for the front desk and tell the lady working there that I had an interview. She told me to go wait on the right hand side of the room so I took my things and sat down. As I wait I suddenly have to use the restroom so I take my things and go to restroom as I make my way there I saw a interesting looking necklaces on the ground and decided to pick it up it looked really pretty it had an emerald imbedded in it with diamonds all around it and it look real. As I picked it up something pushed me into what I can only describe as a big thing of light. The next thing I know is that I hit my head and black out.
I goan as I open my eyes. It's dark out. I start to sit up and look around me and I can't see much but what I can make out is that I'm surrounded by trees, bushes and grass along with the dirty ground I'm laying on. I don't know how this
