The Way Time Decends
Isn’t it strange how sometimes, you just lose track of time? An hour feels like minutes, minutes feel like seconds.
One minute you’re talking about one thing, and a whole hour has passed during that one conversation.
Strange, isn’t it?
But then there’s also times when seconds feel like minutes, minutes feel like hours. And all you want is for time to pass faster. You stare aimlessly at a clock, watching it tick by. You sometimes wonder, is time going slower now? Or is it just my mind playing tricks on me? Everything around you seems to go slower, everything is passing by at a slower pace.
Strange, isn’t it?
As the saying goes, ‘Time passes faster when you’re having fun’. True. But what if it’s just our mind playing tricks on us. Devising this strange plan to slow everything down. Make everything almost to a standstill, just to mess with us? Maybe. But what if it’s just us overthinking this. What if it is just a mere pigment of our imagination. As if this is us, just our imagination is creating a slower scene for our eyes to see. Maybe?
Or maybe we are just too tired to comprehend the thought. The lack of rest causing our minds to wander and play tricks on us. The late nights and early mornings taking a toll on our lives. Or maybe even the ‘all-niter’s’, causing us the lack of concentration. Maybe the lack of sleep is causing more than simple imperfections, such as the dark circles under our eyes, or the coffee addiction that kicks in every morning. Maybe our sleep is what we need most to be able to keep our minds concentrated at all times. Maybe?
Or maybe we just need to think more about it. What is it that we’re doing that makes our minds do this? Is it that we don’t have enough interest in what we see before us? Or that we just don’t care enough to listen, instead acting as though we are. Maybe. Or maybe we are seeing things go slower. It isn’t just in our heads. What we see before us is actually happening. Time really is going slower. Who knows?
Maybe this is just how time descends?
