Sakura

At sunrise on a school day, Cherry lays in her dark room; the curtains blocking the little light way in the gloomy room. Cherry wakes up to the sound of her alarm that is always set at 5:00 o'clock am. She sits up letting out a sigh. Her phone goes off and she gets a notification from her friend Destiny saying, "can you pick up me and Lisa today, she stayed the night at my place, because she got drunk again." Cherry rolls her eyes and gets out of bed. She walks to the bathroom standing in front of the mirror and brushes her brown hair that stops at her shoulders, along with her short bangs. Her eyes are covered by her bangs making it hard to read how she feels. She goes to her closet and puts on her white crop top tee, black leggings and low top flats. Cherry grabs her keys and tells her mother she is headed out to get Destiny and Lisa.

In her car she sits wondering about how much longer she could take of doing the same daily routine every human does. She sighs, "I thought senior year was supposed to be exciting, but it's the same bullshit every day." She cranks the car up and heads on to Destiny house who isn't too far from her. As she parks in front of Destiny house. Lisa and Destiny are already outside standing on the sidewalk. Lisa who is energetic and obnoxious yells, "Hey Cherry! You should have been out with me yesterday! A bitch got drunk last night!" Destiny who is calm and collective side eyes Lisa knowing she isn't going to be sober soon. Lisa runs up to the passenger side smashing her face towards the glass. Cherry yells, "Lisa! What the-" Lisa smiling says, "I really missed you..." Cherry who is already tired of everything says, "Get your ass in the car so we can go!" Destiny who is in the back seat letting out a sigh of breath whispers, "See I really tried to stop her from going but...you know of course she doesn't listen." "Whatever." Cherry says. Lisa puts up her feet on the dashboard and in the corner of her eye she sees Cherry death staring her down, so she slowly puts her feet down.

Pulling up to the school and seeing the big sign 'Caven High School' they all sigh. They get all their belongings and head to the front of the school. Mr. Taylor the principle greets everyone coming through the door. Destiny, Cherry and Lisa, all greets him until Mr. Taylor starts sniffing and stops Lisa.

Mr. Taylor annoyed says, "Lisa, first off why you reek the smell of alcohol. Second of all why is your skirt the length of an inch ruler. You know better to be dressed like some hooker on the street."

Lisa stops him saying, "Third of all...at least I came to school. And this isn't some 'hooker skirt.' These are designer Star Lights light blue washed jean skirt; these shoes are high top high wedge boots, and this shirt is a classic black wide crop top tee. So, i will be heading to my algebra 2 class that i never like."

Everyone in shocked looking around suprised because they all know once Lisa speaks her mind there is no talk back. The principal was too stunned to speak and let her walk on to class. Destiny and Cherry had the same first period which was American History. They both took their seat right before the bell rang at 7:15. Destiny leans in and askes Cherry, "You havent been out with us lately is there something wrong? You've been more irritated with Lisa then your usually are." 'she laughs.' Cherry says in a low tone, "Yeah...everything is pretty much okay. Studying...yeah...I've been studying a lot, like a lot." Destiny pauses for a moment before she pushes her arm saying, "Girl please! You be sleep in the next 15 minutes if we aren't studying all together- wait thats right we never have before!" Desting laughs histerically. Cherry rolls her eyes saying, "Alright now it's not that funny." The teacher stares at them. Destiny lightly whispers, "But its true we havent been all together to have fun. Now you know you can talk to me more than Lisa. She will just tell you to drink your whole life away but thats another story." Cherry brushes off saying, "Yes I know but-" Destiny cuts her off saying, "But what." "I just dont think I...I just dont know what to do with my life. I know I can get into any college, but Im not sure of what I want to do. Its always been making others happy, so I wont be a disappointment to my family. But now its time for me to actually make my own decisions...I dont know im just talking." Shocked of hearkng this Destiny replies, "I wasnt expecting all that. But yeah I feel you. My mom is making me follow in her foot steps but im not so good in debating, like why would I want to be a lawyer. I want to make my own decision of course but I dont either myself know where to start. We need to carry this convo another time because that teacher eyeballs about to come out her sockets."

As they get out of school Lisa ends up getting detention for violation against dress code. Destiny tells Cherry shes getting a ride from her boyfriend. Cherry walks along the sidewalk to the student parking lot. She gets into her car throwing her backpack in the passenger seat while pulling off. As she arrives home; her mother who is in the kitchen cooking greens, corn, and baked chicken happily greets her daughter saying, "How was school sweetie, I decided to make this special meal because a letter came in!" "A letter?" Cherry replies confused. "Yes a letter! Let me go get it."

"The top 10 colleges in the world wants you honey!" Her mom says happily.

"Wow. I never thought such a college would want me." Says Cherry.

"Cherry any college should want you, you have all A's, you do all your work, and hell you are the team captain of your volleyball team! What more of a daughter could I ask for. You keep me proud. You should go to be a nurse they make a lot!" Says her mom exicitily.

Cherry says, "Well yeah...im glad I do make you proud but im going to go to sleep. School has me tired right now."

"Dont sleep too long we got to fill these papers out" says her mom.

She walks into her dark room that reflects of her and flops on the bed face first. She lets a little tear roll down her face as she falls asleep. As time past by the smell of ramen being cooked arises Cherry. Cherry sniffs and yells, "Mom when did you start cooking ramen like a cheif last time you forgot to put the water in the noodles-" She notices somethimg different about her room. Her room is much bigger, the walls are decorated with cherry blossoms, her bed is bigger laid out with silky gold sheets, and there are threee women in her room. She screams, "Who are you people! Why am i here? What is this place! Oh my gosh who even AM I?" One of the women whispers, "女王疯了." (The Queen has gone mad.) The second women snickering says, "你认为是你给她洗澡的热水吗?" (Do you think it was the hot water you bathe her in?) The three women all laugh. Cherry yells angrily slamming her foot into the ground. That caused a shake in the ground everyone in the whole kindom felt. She looks down and realizes she put a hole in the ground caused by fire. She examines her feet and hands and runs to the big mirror. Cherry comes to realize that this isn't her body. Her bangs that covered her eyes were now gone. Her hair was the length to her hips and was the color black that simmered in the light, her lips were more of a raseberry color, her hazel eyes were full of life, and under her eyes were a thick line of red. She was tall and slender and her skin was a beautiful shade of brown. The clothes she wore were of a pink modern hanfu, a brightful color coset, she wore a long white cardigan hanfu covered in cherry blossoms, and her shoes were high top white boots. So much to take in she stares at herself and says, "who am I please... just give me answers if you understand me." The third woman who understand cherry said, "Sakura."

"What?" Says Cherry

"You are Sakura the God of life and bloom...your tattoo says it on you. On your stomach. Have you forgotten my Queen?" Replies the third woman.

Cherry lifts up her corset and sees the symbols of 生活 and 布卢姆 which meant life and bloom.

"Queen Sakura your servants have prepared dinner down stairs. No Queen should fight on a empty stomach." Says the third woman.

"Fight?" Says Cherry.

"Queen did the last battle you have effect your memories? The Dark Qíshí (TEE-SHI-T) must of done something to you. You have to report to the King!" Says the third woman.

Cherry askes "What is your name?"

"Its Shālā my Queen."

The rest of the women are furious to discover the conditions of there Queen.

"Shālā you come with me downstairs. We have certain things to talk about." Says Cherry.
