Pocahontas’ Journey
“Oh to be away from this island, I feel like a prisoner here. I know so many memories were made here but I can't stay here another day.” Pocahontas spoke her frustration as she observed her father's land from afar off as lit candles began to go out as nighttime fell. She could see her boat far off and now was her opportunity to escape. She gracefully ran through the forest that she knew like the back of her hand. Not one crunch of a leaf was heard, nor a snap of a twig. At long last, she reached the boat and turned around to view the island one last time.
“So long, everyone,” she said before kicking her right foot against the sand pushing the boat into the water, and off she went on her journey. She had no destination in mind and was just going to sail until she could not sail any longer. She sailed for weeks until she landed in the Ireland country Antrim but something had changed on her voyage. A strange green fog followed her the entire way from Virginia to Ireland but curiosity had gotten the best of her by now and she waited for the fog to go over her.
A man stood by the shore observing the fog and when it got close to them he grabbed her hand “Ai miss, I don't know about you but that doesn't look right to me” Pocahontas looked his way getting out of her trance “You are right, let's go” the two began to run from it and they got into a safe bunker under the city where they think safety will be found. “It's following us” she sounded scared and grabbed onto him “Don't be afraid, we will find a way out of this”
As he said that the green fog went over them and they woke up in a brand new land. Griffin soon said “Whoa! What is this?” Pocahontas uttered when she looked at her hand seeing it was no longer animation. “Phew, I thought this would be worse, are you ok?” Griffin asked her and she smiled at him “I am now, thank you. I am Pocahontas” she put her hand on his chest getting lost in his dark blue eyes. “It's no problem at all, Pocahontas, I am Griffin” she smiled and said, “Nice to meet you, Griffin.”
“Nice to meet you also, I think it's safe to come out now.” both of them got out of their hiding spot with the village in a full-on panic about what was going on, and Griffin stood up on a stage that was set up for the town's founder parade and spoke up “Ai everyone, it does us no good to panic over this. So let's all calm down and embrace the new normal until we figure out what is truly going on” this new outbreak in Ireland was being televised and it seemed that Ireland was not the only one who experienced this in the animation community.
Pocahontas smiled from ear to ear listening to the strong and confident Griffin and she had to admit that she loved his confidence. “Come with me, I know a little bit of what is happening from talks on my island. A rumor I heard is this is happening all across animated worlds and all of them are turning into human worlds. It all started in a land not far from here if you want to go find it.” he looked across the crowd who are looking to him for answers and he spoke up.
“Ladies and Gentlemen of Antrium, my lady here has great news. Pocahontas has heard leads of another land that is facing the same issues as we are and with your permission, I would love to join her so I can be your representative for Ireland.” the king approached him and Griffin and Pocahontas bowed “Sir Griffin and Lady Pocahontas I permit you to find answers for us feel free to use our Chariots for the journey and if you are successful you will be rewarded a great deal.” they arose and Griffin said, “you will not be disappointed, your majesty.”
After Griffin gathered up his belongings they went to the chariots and headed toward the land that they needed to find. The one thing these creatures didn't know about their curse is as the curse grows it becomes unstable, unpredictable, and worse of all the news of it spreads travels to other kingdoms and continents. Once on board “All ready to go” Griffin called to the chariot drivers and one said “Let's go, let's show them the meaning of haste” with a crack of the whip the horses were off like a flash while Pocahontas and Griffin held on.
Griffin has felt something towards Pocahontas ever since he laid eyes on her and there is some sort of attraction toward each other from the way they look at each other. Pocahontas looked at him and he looked back at her feeling the same way he did earlier before she said “Griffin, do you believe in love at first sight?” nervousness entered him, and he looked deeper into her eyes “I didn't but since I met you I could be a believer” she put her hand on his chest “same for me” they closed their eyes before kissing each other and for Pocahontas this was the best feeling.
Griffin could kiss her all day long if she would let him but when the chariot came to a stop she pulled away from him “seriously” she commented after it stopped “Are we already there?” Griffin asked before poking his head out and seeing 6 women standing in front of the chariot holding them up “Excuse me, ladies, what's the hold-up?” Pocahontas saw the girls and she had a strange moment of Deja vu remembering that she has came across these women before. The six girls looked at Pocahontas and felt the same feeling.
After a few seconds of awkward silence, Aurora spoke up “Look girls she showed up, I am so thrilled that you came, I'm sorry for the invasion of your dreams.” Pocahontas said, “I thought I was going crazy myself after a week straight of having the same dream. What does all this mean?” Aurora stepped up “I was put under a strong sleeping curse to where I could come into people's dreams to warn them about what was happening here and how it could spread to other kingdoms. I got into a lot of people's minds but when I got into your mind I could spend more time”
“This explains so much, what is it I can do?” Aurora sighs and said “We are getting closer and closer to finding our men and need all the help we can get,” Pocahontas said “I and Griffin will be glad to help you out. What do you have in mind?” the girls looked at Griffin seeing he was still there and wondered how much longer he would even be around.
The two of them seemed to be more lovey-dovey than the rest of them as they stood close to each other and it truly broke their hearts.
Griffin saw how exhausted they were and he wonders what he could do to help them. “I'm so sorry, for your losses, girls and I promise you that I will try my best to find a way to them. Everyone deserves to be loved and I just hope I don't end up like the rest of these guys” Pocahontas held on to him “If you do you better believe I won't stop until you are safe in my arms.” he smiled at her and kissed her “Now let's break down everything that has happened.”
“Do you know who is doing all this to the men?” Ariel answered his question “They are mermaids and keeping everyone hostage in an underwater land that we can't get into. Every day at 7 pm this underwater land shows up for about 5 minutes and then disappears but we don't want to risk going in it and getting stuck in there without a foolproof plan.” he tapped his chin thinking of a way they could have a plan of attack but nothing was coming to his mind in the way at the pace he needed it to.
At long last, he thought of something but by the time he did “Not right now” he looked at the girls shaking his head “I'm sorry, I wasn't fast enough” he hung his head and disappeared from them. Snow White hung her head and Pocahontas fell to her knees where he was before Snow White said “I am tired of us losing to mermaids, they are so many steps ahead of us” she looked at Ariel and shook her head in disappointment. The girls went their separate ways trying to figure out how to stop this.
