"Whoever is reading this review before getting started with this book, just one line for you - don't wait, get started already!!! Lots of emotional drama, hot scenes and most importantly the unexpected ending which will leave you wanting more from the story. Not your regular romance, which is why it is even more interesting to read and the curiosity built-up to know what happens next keeps you glued till the end. The story was absolutely flawless, no loop holes whatsoever which is why I loved it even more. Sometimes you will love the characters or sometimes hate them but in the end the story you will find extremely heart touching. "

Beautifully written
"This is a brilliantly relatable love story that reality hits in a painful way. Each MC's vantage is based on their traumatic childhoods and as the author writes that, you start to understand the dysfunctional dynamics between them. Both just want to be loved but don't know how to do that in a healthy manner. It's tragic yet beautifully written in a tone that makes you want to binge the book. If you're looking for an average cliche love story, keep looking. What you'll get in this book is raw truths between 2 worlds that weren't meant to collide, yet they do, and finding their path together ultimately becomes almost a burden. I absolutely loved the brokenness of it all and the way in which the author is able to write it is as if we're seeing inside her mind. Her style is so smooth because she's able to put words to her thoughts in a way that feels real. So, for those of you looking for a love story that has a raw authenticity to it, try this one out. You won’t be disappointed. "

"Holy wow, read this book. Probably my favorite book to date on Inkitt. 100% recommend. The buildup between the characters and the plot in this story are nothing short of fantastic. It is one of the most heartbreaking, anxiety inducing rollercoasters. You'll want to laugh, cry, and scream while hanging on the edge of your seat. What more could you possibly want? If this book is ever up for sale, I'd buy it just to support the author."
Well written, thought provoking coming-of-age romance book!
"This book follows Cal and Emy, two teenagers who have essentially been failed by the fostering system (as many are) and end up in a world of crime and drugs. The characterisation of both characters is so well done! I know exactly who Cal and Emy are as individuals, and they have clear personality traits. The dialogue flows so well and is very natural for both characters. I will say that both characters have their own demons, and some parts especially surrounding Cal are pretty harrowing, but Leigh does a brilliant job of handling these often difficult-to-talk-about situations. I think I may be in the minority but I am not a huge fan of the relationship between Cal and Emy when they are teenagers at least. It is a toxic, and borderline abusive relationship but I will say that I've read quite a few books with abusive relationships, and this is the only one I've read where the author acknowledges the unhealthy relationship and doesn't overtly glorify it, which is really refreshing to read. The erotica scenes are the best I have EVER read! They flow well, have good dialogue and are pretty kinky at times! I would wholly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a good teen-fiction romance! I look forward to seeing where Cal and Emy end up throughout the series! Amazing work, Leigh! :)"
