Renzo - 1
Sundays were the best day of the week by far, the day of rest and I took that shit seriously. My feet was up on the dark green foot stall, my ass firmly on the matching couch. I could smell dinner wafting through the whole house and I took a sip of my whiskey, Alessa huddled into my side, half falling asleep. I had no idea where her brother was but he was definitely a mamma's boy, a lot like me so I knew wherever Aria was Ezio wasn't far behind.
"Renzo, did you want potatoes or vegetables with your veal?" Aria poked her head into the living room and I couldn't hide my smile. She was still the most beautiful woman in any room and she was all fucking mine.
"Whatever is easier for you," I smiled.
"I'll do veg because the kids will eat it then," she said more to herself, walking back into the kitchen.
"Is Ezio with you?!" I shouted.
"Obviously!" She laughed and I held Alessa tighter, looking down at her. She was the spitting image of Aria, dark reddish hair and the most beautiful deep dark eyes. Although they weren't identical, her brother was a carbon copy of Aria too. Twins weren't fun at the beginning but our doctor warned us it could be a result of IVF, even though we didn't discover Ezio until Aria was about to drop. Now they were older, at four, they were a lot easier to handle.
"Daddy," Alessa dragged out, with the cutest voice.
"Yessss," I tried to copy her and she giggled, attempting to wrap her arm around me.
"You have work tomorrow?" She asked and I smiled, okay, maybe she was a daddy's girl.
"Yeah but we can play in the morning okay?" I looked down, kissing her forehead.
"Yay!" She shouted and I could hear Ezio coming from here. He might look like his mom, but he was all fucking me.
"Daddy!" He shouted and I nearly jumped, looking over at him running towards me.
"Ezio for fuck sake!" I groaned as he jumped at me directly in my balls.
"Renzo, language!" Aria appeared and I groaned, moving my head back. She was right but it was really difficult to curb my language, my dad never did when we were growing up, maybe that was our problem.
"Dinner come on!" Aria shouted and I picked them both up, one under each arm as I walked into the kitchen, the smell hitting me.
"Bellissima, you've done it again," I laughed, putting the kids down and coming behind her, kissing up her neck.
"You haven't tasted it yet," she giggled, trying to move around the kitchen.
"You have never made a veal that hasn't been good to me, so why would you start now?" I asked, moving back and slapping her ass. "Kids, sit down," I told them, getting the knives and forks out and putting them on the table.
"Daddy," Ezio said and I knew a question was coming. I helped Aria by putting the kids food in front of them, sitting opposite Alessa as Aria sat next to me.
"Yeah?" I asked, cutting my veal. It was like fucking butter and I couldn't wait to shove it into my mouth.
"Can we see you and mama's pictures?" He asked and I shook my head confused.
"Pictures? Of what?" I wondered, taking a bite. Fuck this woman could cook.
"When you got married!" Ezio shouted and Aria scoffed, standing to get some water.
"We're not married," I said quickly, hoping this subject would change even quicker.
"Why?" Alessa asked.
"Yeah why daddy?" Ezio chipped in and I put my fork down, looking across at them both.
"Because sometimes daddy's and mama's don't get married," I shrugged, picking my fork up.
"Amazing," Aria laughed, sitting back next to me.
"Don't you love mama?" It was Ezio and I threw my fork back down.
"Of course I do, eat your food," I said firmly, downing half a glass of water. I remember a time when these two didn't fucking talk.
"But when you love someone you get married," Ezio said, confusion on his tiny face.
"Fucking hell what are you two the feds?" I laughed.
"Renzo! Really?!" Aria shouted, slapping my arm.
"Sorry," I mumbled, kissing her temple. "Me and your mama love each other very much, I just never thought it was important to get married," I told them the truth, partly wanting the ground to swallow me whole.
"I think it's important," Alessa told the table and I rolled my eyes, like I was taking life lessons from two four year olds.
"It's not important Alessa, it would be nice if me and daddy were married, I would love the same name as you both, but it's not important," Aria shrugged and boy I felt like a fucker. I had never thought of it like that. There wasn't a lot I could do about it right now however, it would be obvious if I proposed now.
"Can we eat our dinner please?" I asked the table.
"I think you and mama should get married."
"Ezio!"
