Chapter 1
It was a dark and stormy night when Sarah arrived at the old, abandoned mansion on the outskirts of town. She had been sent by her boss, a renowned detective, to investigate strange occurrences that had been reported at the property.
As she made her way up the creaky front steps, she couldn’t shake the feeling of being watched. Once inside, she found that the mansion was in a state of disrepair, with cobwebs and dust covering every surface. But as she began to explore the rooms, she noticed something even more unsettling - all of the furniture was draped in white sheets, as if the house had been untouched for decades.
Sarah made her way to the library, where she had been told the strange occurrences had been reported. As she began to search through the books, she noticed something strange. Every book on the shelf had the same title: “The Secret of the Mansion.”
