PREVIEW (WIP)
Cameron was going insane. One person was driving him crazy. One freaking person.
Skylar Fucking Maze.
He was perfect in every way. The way his blonde locks spread across the bed sheets. His deep ocean eyes. His beautiful voice was filled with life and joy every time he was on stage.
God, he loved this man. Loved everything about him. He wanted to know everything there was to know about him. Was terrified of what would happen if he didn’t get close enough to know all of those things.
Loving the guy was a roller coaster. It had its moments where he felt so good. And there were times when he could feel the world closing in on him. The time they spent together felt too much. Time had passed faster than Cameron wanted it to. Time felt as though it was ticking away while Skyler sat beneath him panting in pleasure. But even during these times, he couldn’t deny the feeling of comfort that came with being held by someone else.
With being able to say something or do something for someone else without the fear of looking stupid.
When it got down to it, all that he had really ever needed to feel complete was Skylar’s body pressed against his.
With the small touches of their fingers holding hands. All that he’d ever been wanting to feel was not being lonely anymore.
Being close to someone other than himself. Feeling safe in that knowledge. Feeling like they made sense to each other. Just Skylar and Cameron, alone together.
And yet, it was just that little bit of being out of control that brought it back to reality. It was dangerous. It was reckless. It was stupid.
They met at a bar. At the time Cameron didn’t know about Skylar’s fame or music career. How he was probably the Justin Bieber of Austin or practically anywhere. It shocked him how he missed a beautiful face like his being plastered against every coffee shop or glass window downtown.
They hooked up that night. At the time it was just a one-night stand. Skylar thinking of him as more of a quick little fuck and Cameron thinking
‘that blonde has a nice ass.’
They hadn’t planned on anything more. It was just another meaningless sex night in which he gave into the want of no rules and morals. Something casual between two people who were desperately lonely.
It took some time for them to talk. To let down their walls. Not because they hated each other. They both knew that if they tried, the relationship wouldn’t work. Cameron was a freaking college junior working part-time at his local bookstore. Skylar was a literal celebrity who probably owned fancy cars and million-dollar mansions.
“Cam? Ya good?” Skylar asked cupping Cameron’s face.
“I’m okay.” He responded gently. He just couldn’t believe that they were actually here. Talking. This moment had to be real.
“Ya look funny,” Skylar commented as he grinned widely and then kissed Cameron’s lips softly. “So serious.”
This time Cameron’s heart fluttered a little quicker. “You’re cute, too.”
“Come on babe,” Skylar said with an unimpressed tone. “Not that you don’t already think so. I’m pretty sure everyone else agrees.”
That made Cameron grin and even Skylar laughed as he rolled off the couch.
