Chapter 1 Newcomer's
1. THE CRUSH OF HAMILTON HIGH
Andrew walked down the hallway of his high school, his tall and athletic frame commanding attention. Girls turned their heads as he passed by, admiring his sharp jawline and beautiful eyes. He had always been popular with the opposite sex, but he never let it go to his head. He was a nice person, always respectful and polite to everyone he met.
As he opened his locker, he caught a glimpse of himself in the mirror inside. He smoothed down his hair and straightened his shirt, making sure he looked perfect. He knew that image was important, especially for someone like him.
But as he closed his locker and turned to leave, he caught sight of a girl, who was struggling with her locker. Without hesitation, he walked over and helped her. "Hey” he said with a smile. “Need some help?”
“Yeah” she said, then Andrew helped her.
She grinned up at him. “Thanks, I’m Caroline” she said.
“I’m Andrew nice to meet you Caroline” Andrew said and went to his class.
Growing up in a middle-class family, Andrew had always been ambitious. He wanted to be successful, to prove himself and take care of his family. When he was a child, his teacher had asked him what he wanted to be when he grew up. His answer had been simple: “I want to be rich.”
Money had always been important to Andrew, but it wasn’t the only thing that mattered to him. He valued relationships and always made an effort to be a good son, brother and friend. He had had some past relationships but they never lasted long, he was always focused on his future.
2. THE TRIO
i.) The careless
The bell rang, signaling the start of class. The students began to filter into the room, taking their seats and chatting with each other. Andrew also sat on his seat.
Steve walked into the classroom, his tall and athletic frame a mirror image of his best friend Andrew. His dark hair was styled perfectly, and his dark eyes sparkled with mischief. He wore a leather jacket, and he had a smirk on his face. But while Andrew was outgoing and charismatic, Steve was more reserved, preferring to keep to himself. He had a carefree attitude and a “I don’t give a f***” approach to life. He was the type Of person who never let anything get to him.
Steve was an introvert, and he had always struggled to connect with people. He had a hard time expressing himself, and often kept his thoughts and feelings to himself. But despite his introverted nature, he was fiercely loyal to his friends, especially to Andrew and Susan. He would do anything for them, and they knew they could always count on him.
Steve’s attitude towards life was carefree, he didn’t care much about the future, but his relationship with Susan made him more responsible. Susan was always there to guide him and take care of him, he was happy and content with her.
ii) The Overthinker
Susan walked into the classroom, her warm smile and friendly demeanor immediately putting everyone at ease. She was always thinking about her friends and family, and her caring nature made her well-liked by her peers. She was the type of person who would go out of her way to help others, often at the expense of her own well-being.
Susan was a natural caregiver, always putting the needs of others before her own. She was empathetic and understanding, always willing to listen and offer a helping hand. But her tendency to overthink things sometimes caused her problems, she often struggled to make decisions and take care of herself.
Susan was in a relationship with Steve, and their relationship was important to her. She always wanted to take care of him and help him become more responsible. She was always there to guide him and take care of him, and she loved him for who he was, even with his carefree attitude.
3. THE SUPPORT SYSTEM
Andrew and Susan have always had a special bond. They met in middle school and have been best friends ever since. They were always there for each other, through the good times and the bad. Andrew appreciated Susan’s caring and empathetic nature, and she appreciated his ambition and drive.
However, as Andrew’s ambition to become successful and take care of his family grew, he started to spend less and less time with Susan. He was always busy with schoolwork and extracurricular activities, and he didn’t have as much time to hang out with her as he used to. Susan understood that Andrew was busy, but she couldn’t help feeling a little hurt that he didn't seem to have as much time for her anymore.
One day, Susan decided to confront Andrew about it. She called him and asked him to meet her at their favorite spot, a small park near their school. Andrew was surprised but agreed to meet her. When he arrived, Susan was waiting for him, and she immediately launched into a heartfelt conversation about how much he meant to her and how much she missed their friendship. Andrew was touched by Susan’s words and realized that he had been so focused on his goals that he had neglected his relationships.
He apologized to Susan, and they made a promise to make more time for each other. Andrew realized that his friendship with Susan was just as important as his ambition to become successful, and he made a conscious effort to balance the two. They started spending more time together, going to concerts and just hanging out. Their friendship was stronger than ever, and they were happy to have each other’s support as they navigated the challenges of high school and the future.
4. THE BROTHERHOOD
Steve and Andrew had been best friends since they were kids. They had grown up in the same neighborhood and shared a lot of the same interests, like sports and video games. They were both tall and athletic, and they had always been a good team on and off the field. They were like brothers, and they had always been there for each other.
However, as they grew older, their friendship took on a different form. Steve and Andrew started to go down different paths, and they didn’t see each other as often as they used to. Steve was always busy with his own life, and he didn't have as much time for Andrew. Andrew, on the other hand, was focused on his ambition to become successful and take care of his family, and he didn't have as much time for Steve.
Even though they didn’t see each other as often, whenever they did meet, the bond between them was always as strong as ever. They would pick up right where they left off, and it was like they had never been apart. They would talk about old times and catch up on everything that had happened in each other’s lives.
Despite the distance and the changes in their lives, the bond between Steve and Andrew was unbreakable. They were more like brothers than friends, and they knew that no matter what happened, they would always have each other’s backs.
5. THE OUTSIDERS
It was the first day of school at Hamilton High, and the students were filtering into the classroom. Andrew, Steve, and Susan were already seated, chatting with each other. Andrew was sitting at the front of the class, Steve was sitting next to him, Susan was sitting next to Steve, holding each other’s hand under the table.
As the students were taking their seats, a new girl walked into the classroom. She was short, with blonde hair and fair skin. She was wearing a pink dress and a matching cardigan, and she was looking around the room, trying to find a seat. Andrew recognized her as Caroline, the new girl in school.
As Caroline walked to the front of the class, Jack entered the classroom. He was tall, muscular, and had an bad attitude. He walked straight to Caroline, and he had his eyes on her.
Jack: “Hey, Caroline, why don’t you sit here next to me, I can show you around”
Caroline: “No, thank you. I’ll find my own seat”
Jack: “Come on, don’t be shy. I can show you a good time”
Caroline: “I said no. Leave me alone”
Andrew noticed the interaction between Jack and Caroline and he intervened.
Andrew: “Hey, Jack, leave her alone. She said she doesn’t want to sit next to you”
Jack: “What’s it to you, man? Mind your own business”
Steve: “Yeah, Andrew is right, Jack. Leave her alone”
Susan: “ Caroline, you can sit here next to me, I’ll show you around”
Caroline: “Thank you, Susan. That would be great”
Andrew: “See jack she’s not interested now leave her alone it’ll be better for you ”
Jack: “Whatever, I was just trying to be friendly”
Andrew: “No, it’s not about being friendly, it’s about respect, and you have none towards Caroline”
The classroom was silent as the teacher began the lesson, but Andrew couldn’t focus on anything. He was too caught up in his thoughts about Jack and his behavior towards Caroline. He couldn’t believe that someone could be so disrespectful and dismissive of someone else’s feelings. He couldn’t shake off the feeling that he should have done more to protect Caroline from Jack’s advances.
As the class progressed, Andrew couldn’t help but steal glances at Jack, who was sitting a few rows behind him. He could see the smirk on Jack’s face, and he knew that he was up to no good. He could feel the anger and frustration building inside him, and he knew that he couldn’t let Jack get away with his behavior.
Finally, the bell rang, signaling the end of class. As the students began to leave the room, Andrew decided to confront Jack. He walked over to him and stood in front of him, looking him straight in the eye.
Andrew: “We need to talk, Jack.”
Jack: “About what? I don’t have time for this”
Andrew: “About the way you treated Caroline today. Your behavior was unacceptable, and you need to apologize”
Jack: “What are you talking about? I was just trying to be friendly”
Andrew: “No, you were being disrespectful and dismissive. You need to understand that Caroline is a person with feelings and she deserves to be treated with respect”
As Andrew confronted Jack, Jack laughed and sneered at him. “You’re just jealous, man” Jack said, “You wish you were me, now just get the hell out of here you f****** simp”
Andrew’s patience had reached its limit and he snapped. He grabbed Jack by the collar of his shirt and pulled him close, his eyes cold and hard. “You don’t know what you’re talking about,” he said, his voice low and menacing. “You’re nothing but a bully and a coward. You don't deserve to be in this school.”
Jack was taken aback by Andrew’s sudden change of attitude, he tried to push Andrew away but Andrew was too strong. Jack punched Andrew in the face, but it didn't have any effect on Andrew, he punched back and the fight began. The classroom was in chaos, students were screaming and running around while Andrew and Jack were throwing punches at each other.
The fight was intense, and Andrew was like a different person, he was cold and ruthless, he can’t see anything wrong happening in front of his eyes. He wants to teach a lesson to jack.
Finally, the teacher and other staff members intervene and break the fight. Andrew and Jack were separated and were asked to leave the classroom. Andrew and Jack being taken to the principal’s office and gets t warned by the principal for their actions.
