Chapter 01: Necrosis or apoptosis?
Do you know what apoptosis phenomena is?
It’s basically when one cell kills itself either for homeostasis. Homeostasis is a metabolic process which brings equilibrium to our cells environment and to the cells as well. So, shortly, apoptosis is a cell suicide but a necessary one as explained before, just like a sacrifice let's say. And one important point here is that the cell is a healthy one and this phenomena is a physiological one, meaning it's a normal process.
But what about necrosis? This one is still a cell death, but this time not a proper cell suicide. Here, the cell is influenced by something in its environment which obligates it to kill himself. During the necrosis phenomena, the cell is wounded by its surroundings, and is not in shape to adapt itself to survive anymore. And as you may understand, this process is not normal at all, even though there is the notion of suicide as well as during apoptosis.
And here you must be asking where exactly is the point I am getting at. I’ll dive into that just after a few words but before we do, I’d like to know your opinion about one subject: what is suicide to you? It might be a taboo topic or even a forbidden one depending on each people's culture, I don’t know. What I know is that it well and truly exists, what I know is that we should talk about it because from what I've heard, read and seen and experienced, suicide doesn't spare any gap age nor gender, nor place. Suicide is real but despite the moroseness of this word, can we really blame people from chosing its pathway?
Before I start narrating a little piece of my story, allow me please to clarify something: I would never encourage people to resort to suicide in any possible or impossible way. I won't be able to say if it's the wrongest of choices but what I can say is that it's not the greatest to have in mind either, whatever may be the reason. And I really mean this words I am writing because I, myself, had been through dark periods and I can ensure that life isn’t always about pain, and death isn’t always true release.
Also, as I told earlier, this story is not a fiction. This really happened in my life, and I really hope and appreciate your concern about it. Be kind because we all experience different things with a different way of living, thinking and going through it. To put it lightly, no one is really right, but no one is really wrong as well. I hope you understand my point of view here and my feelings because this one is how I lived mine. It may be small or insignificant to some of you, but still I lived it and it was harsh and I really hope you'll understand my position.
