Chapter 1
Beline was brought into this world smothered in love. Her mother, Amias, cared for and loved her little bundle of joy more than anything.
Beeline had beautiful eyes; her left eye was a caramel crescent with the other half a pure blue, her other eye fully brown. It wasn’t long after being born that her mother found that Beline had a gift. A gift like no other; that could one day be her demise. A threat to others and a manipulation tool for the rest. It could only be cherished by those deserving.
Amias was a part of the Eclipse Pack. She was considered the top healer within the pack. She was mated with a Golden Star Warrior of the pack, Jackus. They were assigned mating secondary to the results of war, needing more children to carry on the pack’s legacy and those with the blood of worthiness.
The Warriors were the top fighters, Gold Stars were the highest ranking. They followed the Alpha and were the ultimate protection of the pack. They were rarely around as they were always fighting in the war, exploring other territories, or defending against rogues on the borders.
Jackus and Amias’s pairing made the most sense given their skills and gifts that would produce an heir that would benefit the pack greatly; benefit the future alpha heir.
Her mother was a secretive woman who kept to herself. Carefully and successfully completing her duties as a pack healer.
Due to her high level of skills, she was designated to Luna Maka primarily. Especially during her pregnancies and preventing miscarriages. As this was a previous struggle of the Luna.
The Eclipse Pack was the second-to-largest pack. With Alpha Laurence and Luna Maka in charge. There had been much discourse between the Eclipse Pack and the Midnight Pack.
The Midnight Pack was the largest pack containing thousands upon thousands of wolves, warriors, healers, and ultimately, the most land. The Alpha of the Midnight Pack, Axel, demanded that the Eclipse Pack fall under his command and the discretion of his pack.
A long history stems from a lineage of great-great grandfathers battling for power with the goal of wanting to rebuild the Werewolf Kingdom. A kingdom that has since fallen with the split of packs and land over the centuries.
The Midnight Pack had many enemies. Eclipse Pack was not the only pack that fought harshly against them. Midnight Pack also wanted complete control of rogue groups made up of those who have committed horrific crimes. A fact they all soon forgot.
There was a day that changed everything. The Eclipse Pack and Midnight Pack would never be the same. The death led to more death that led to the complete catapult of Beline’s fate.
