Prologue
In the world of Salem a dream is a summoning ritual, for those looking for their beloved. It's a yearning call to summon those our souls crave. To perform such a ritual would require an elder fairy within the family or a talented mystic. The night before a cleansing ritual is performed. The bitter smell of mugwort clouded the air, while a dream satchel was placed under the pillow as one dreamt. During the ritual our spirits are read within the sky at midnight foretelling the truth of love, spiritual bonds, and sexual chemistry. An elder blessed the water, adding valerian root to enhance the journey of the dreamer. Dressed in white and red silk, submerged in water the ritual was complete. The rules say that the stronger the bond, and the partner determines the intensity of the dreams. Different creatures inhabit this enchanted plane, from elves to demons wander the realm blessing it with beauty and chaos.
Fairies, and demons hold immense power, and status capable of building or destroying a kingdom with one command. Yet, when rivaled to each other fairies hold more influence due to the trust that has been created between them and furthering kingdoms. Demons reputation leaves them in a despicable place in the hearts of everyone around creating property, and despair for the demon kingdom. It wasn't until the truce that demons had finally be capable to a stable food source, not every demon forgets the prior treatment embedding hatred for the civilians that wonder freely. Demons population, and capability has allowed them to flourish when the truce was created. The bond between Demon Lord Ravelin and Fairy Elder Lysander enhanced a prosperous trade of cultivation materials, food source, and martial strategies. The two shared an unbreakable bond, yet their rivaling societies never accepted such change. Demons spit at the kingdom of Landaus, and fairies stuck their nose up to the Kingdom of Luna.
Each kingdom held significant partnerships with animals, and beings. The kingdom of Luna gained favor of mystics while becoming prosperous creating an outstanding flow of magical resources, and new capabilities gifted to the demons. Mystics gained a stable home, food source, and status they no longer preform magic to live. Many mystics created a partnership with a demon deciding to become mates, friends, or even partners of war. Demons held deep respect and trust for others, only despising those who lack the capability of respect and hostility without knowledge. There are demons that, stand tall to the old ideals, but many have evolved, demanding peace within their kingdom.
However fairies became dragon whispers, forming a mystical bond. They developed a method to read each other minds to communicate. Dragons live within the forest of Landaus protecting the sacred tree, but they are also capable of roaming freely through the kingdom making partnerships. Many dragons held different capabilities some create fire, while others dismiss them with ice. Fairies also have different abilities based on the element they rule. The bond between the two are based primarily on their element, and connection.
Nonetheless other species such as elves, dwarfs, and giants all have significance in their own way. Elves rule the south known for their kingdom Kalon , filled with exquisite beauty, and vibrant personalities. Dwarfs function within the east alongside them are the Giants together they create a functional kingdom known for creating armor that rival the fairies. The Kingdom of Luna rules the North behind the veil of the Underworld established with profound power. Fairies are the only ones with the ability to walk through the realm without even a scratch. The kingdom of Landaus rules the West holding enchantress features, and extraordinary architecture.
