Sometimes it's your friends who deceive you into horror, into darkness. Into a world of terror.
The story of Lucy, a 14-year-old teenager begins. Deceived and left.
21st January. It all begins. She's at one of her skating contests, talking about her nervousness with Regan, her best friend, "You'll do fine. I'm sure of it", said Regan, with a confident tone.
"Um...If you say so", replied Lucy, after saying that she went to the starting line, ready to race. During the race, she skated like no one else, she was lightning. Her speed had won her a trophy and a medal for first place.
She went home springing like a rabbit. Her mum understood that she had won the race and somehow managed to stop her wheels. When Lucy stopped, her mom put a box in front of her. Opening it, she found a pair of brand new roller skates, purple in color, and the shape of lightning at the back was seen. She was over the moon. She put them next to her roller skate collection. She picked up her phone, to find that Regan had filmed the entire race. Lucy immediately posted it on Instagram and 50 fans on the spot liked it and commented on it.
Mum calls everyone for dinner; she made pasta. "Yum! Thanks, mom", says Lucy looking at her mom. "I guess that means I lost my bet. I'm on laundry for the month," says Lucas, her 15-year-old brother
"Was there ever a doubt that I won't win it?", Lucy replies, "Okay, let's get eating. Your mom must have put a lot of effort into making Pasta Alfredo", says her dad, with a proud smile on his face.
Suddenly her surroundings change. She is in a forest, with Regan. She sees a cottage but a 2-feet river before it. She makes out for a jump but Regan pushes her into the river. Drowning and struggling she is trying to grab a big gray rock on the side. She wakes up at the call of her mum, terrified from the dream.
"So did you have a good night's sleep?," asks Lucas "Not exactly, I had a nightmare which completely freaked me out." she replies
"Wanna talk about it ?" inquired Lucas
"Nope. I'm going on a skate after breakfast", she answers. Mum made pancakes. At 09:30, in the morning she runs off on her new skates. She runs into Regan but despite her desire to tell her about the dream, she keeps quiet, thinking "It's just a dream. It's not real."
