Chapter 1
The sun was already shining brightly shining on the earth, even though it was only 06.03 in the morning.
A black-haired teenage boy woke up feeling a bit of heat hit his pale skin. The teenager sat down for a while to restore his ghost that wandered in the middle of the night.
"It's still 6 am.." the teenager muttered still a little sleepy.
"Dion! You are PKL today, right?” a middle-aged woman shouted from below, making Dion jump in surprise.
Dion hurriedly went into the bathroom and got ready to go to Semarang, because the school sent him to a pharmacy in a village in one of the cities of Semarang to carry out street vendor activities with other friends.
“Dion!”
"Yes mom! Here Dion is ready." Said Dion opening the door while showing a smile to his mother.
Dion mom sighed tiredly seeing her son's appearance, it was neat but Dion's hair was a mess.
"The clothes are neat, but the hair isn't, it's just lying Dion," said the mother patiently combing her child's hair gently with her fingers.
After finishing, Dion immediately said goodbye to his mother because Dion's friends were already in front of the house.
“Breakfeast—“
“At the station mother!” Dion shouted taking the bread on the table and rushing to the front door, Dion's mother only shook her head slowly seeing her son's behavior, she hoped that Dion would be fine there.
The rustling sound of the station people filled the ears of Dion and his two friends.
"Duh, do you still have time?" said the young girl with blonde hair and brown skin, worried.
"Must have time, after all it's still 7 o'clock," answered a young boy with black hair like Dion calmly.
"Why are you guys so quiet? We want PKL outside the city, in the village again," said the woman annoyed.
“Ian! Delna! Come on, the train is here!” Dion interrupted making Ian and Delna stop fighting.
They immediately rushed to the train stop that would take them to Semarang.
A fresh village-style atmosphere welcomes Dion, Ian and Delna. The view of the rice fields which are in the harvest season adds to the beautiful impression.
Dion then checked his smartphone as he and his friends exited the station. Ian also did the same thing while Delna just looked around worriedly, the girl wasn't used to living in the village.
"The pharmacy one?" Dion said a little confused when he saw the name of the pharmacy where the street vendors were.
"Maybe it's because in the village the name of the pharmacy is like that," said Ian then picked up the phone which Dion thought was the call from the village head.
"Yes.. heem.. ok, thank you sir," Ian said hanging up the phone then went back to playing his finger on the cellphone screen.
"Where's Ian?" Delna said while spraying perfume on her body.
"Spoiled," Ian said sarcastically to Delna, which he thought was too much, "follow me, Mr. Hendra already told you the address of the pharmacy," Ian continued, immediately walking in front of his two friends who were still busy with their own world.
A white building with a not too large size lay in front of Dion, Ian and Delna. Above the building there is a big sign 'Pharmacy One'. Transparent glass windows display various items and medicines in the pharmacy.
Dion walked ahead of his two friends then entered the pharmacy with a sweet smile.
"Excuse me Sis, I am PKL here," said Dion politely to an employee who was counting money at the cashier.
"PKL's child?" said the Employee when he saw Ian and Delna enter.
Dion looked back then back to the Employees.
"Yes, the three of us are PKL." Ian nodded confirming Dion's words.
"Okay, wait a minute." The employee then put back the money he was counting, locked the cash register and immediately went to the back.
Delna looked around, there was a little admiration radiated from the look on Delna's face. The pharmacy where the street vendors are located is pretty good, the layout of the medicine is neat, and more importantly, the place is clean. Delna thought the pharmacy in the village was rundown and messy.
The three of them waited for a long time, the awkward atmosphere was inevitable. Dion, who is usually known as a chatterbox, now just keeps quiet playing with his cell phone, Ian prefers to walk around. Even though he is quiet, his curiosity is great. Sometimes the man asks the employee the properties of the medicine he sees.
"Hello, sorry for the long wait."
A woman around the age of 30 came to Dion and Delna.
The woman's warm smile shot at Dion and Delna and Ian who had just finished walking around.
"Ahh yes it's okay Ma'am," said Dion smiling awkwardly.
"Let's talk inside," said the woman inviting Dion and his friends to enter the back.
The woman opened the door slowly then entered followed by Dion, Delna and Ian. The guest chair is the first thing they see, followed by a glass table and a large television. They then sat on long chairs after being allowed to sit by the pharmacy owner.
"May I know your names?"
"I am Dion Pratama, usually called Dion," said Dion introducing him self accompanied by a sweet smile, Delna unconsciously blushed seeing Dion's smile.
"I'm Ian." Ian said briefly with a straight face.
"Only Ian?" Asked the woman in surprise, this was the first time she heard someone's name with only one word. Ian then nodded in approval of the woman's words.
The woman exhaled then smiled again, she then pointed at Delna to introduce herself.
"I am Magdadelna Kumala Sari, you can call me Delna," said Delna, smiling smugly.
"Good. My name ia Salma Kenongo. You can call Ms. Salma,” said Ms. Salma, the others just snickered.
"You can start PKL tomorrow, for now you can meet the village head or maybe study medicine at this pharmacy first," explained Mrs. Salma at length.
The three of them stood up and said goodbye and walked out of the living room.
"I want to study medicine first here, as well as acquaintances," Ian said a little nervously, this is the first time he has to get acquainted with foreigners, usually foreigners will get acquainted first, even if you actually know when asking about medicine to an employee , Ian's body broke out in a cold sweat.
"Okay, Delna and I will meet with the Village Head." Dion said without asking if Delna agreed or not to go with him.
"Tsk, okay, I'll join you." Delna replied annoyed but still chose to join Dion.
They split up to carry out their plan.
Now Dion arrived at the Village Head's house, the man entered first because the door was not locked.
"Excuse me .. Mr. Hendra?" asked Dion politely when he saw an old man walking out of the room.
"Dion? Come on in, please come in," said Mr. Hendra inviting Dion and Delna to sit down.
"What do you want to drink?" asked Mr. Hendra then called his son to make him a drink.
Dion shook his head, "no need sir, we're not thirsty, right Delna?"
At first, Delna looked happy because she was going to get a drink, but after Dion asked that, her joy disappeared and she had to refuse Mr. Hendra's offer.
"You want to quickly find out where you live huh?" said the Village Chief as if he understood that actually Dion wanted to rest.
Dion just chuckled and nodded his head slowly.
"Then this is the address where you live." Mr. Hendra then handed over a piece of paper containing the road and the characteristics of the house they were going to live in.
"Thank you sir." Dion stepped out followed by Delna behind.
After leaving Delna muttered incoherently, "I'll buy you a drink later," Dion said as if he understood Delna's heart.
"Ian how?" asked Delna aligning her steps with Dion, "I've sent it to Ian."
At Ian's place..
Tring!
Ian's phone rang indicating an incoming message. Ian then opened the message and smiled faintly, he then said goodbye to the employees there and immediately left to follow Dion and Delna.
