Chapter 1
It has been two years since Andrew and Sarah killed Charles Darkness, and Andrew and Sarah just started dating but in the last few days Andrew has been having these weird dreams where he is in a long dark hallway and at the end, he finds a wolf with blue eyes and it starts to run somewhere so Andrew chases it and when he finally catches up with it he sees a mirror with a reflection of himself except his eyes are entirely black and then the wolf comes and swoops him up. This dream scared and confused Andrew so much that he didn’t know what to do so he didn’t tell anyone because he felt that they wouldn’t be able to help him so he just buried the dream deep and ignored it because he had other problems. Since he’s 15 years old his father has him hunting for food and Andrew was having trouble tracking because for some reason he couldn’t find any food and if Andrew comes home empty handed they all might starve so he has to search for the food. Andrew was getting so determined that something happened to him that scared him. He was now able to see scent trails and his eyes automatically adjusted to the dark and he was able to use all these to his advantage and found a huge buck. So when Andrew attacked, his speed and strength were increased somehow but yet he still chased the buck so he could get some food for him and his family. So he killed the buck and came home with a lot of food everyone was so happy and Andrew felt proud of himself but after dinner he went to a cliff on the other side of the city and Sarah came with him because she was able to see that something was on his mind so when they got to the cliff Sarah asked, “Andrew lately you haven’t been yourself, so I’m wondering what is going on?” Andrew then stared at Sarah for a couple of minutes and said, “I don’t know what’s going on.” Sarah then said, “Just tell me what’s on your mind.” Andrew then said, “I’ve been having strange dreams about a wolf that leads me to me but I have powers.” Sarah then said, “Well, dreams are dreams, and they aren’t real Andrew.” Andrew then said, “I know but I think this dream is a warning because earlier today something happened to me, I was suddenly able to hunt like a wolf. I had these powers where I was able to see scent trails, see in the dark and I could run faster and I was stronger.” Sarah then said, “Can you show me?” Andrew then replied “That’s the problem. All day I’ve been trying to do that again but it just wouldn’t happen.” Sarah then asked, “Have you told your parents?” Andrew replied, “No I haven’t and you can’t tell anyone either.” Sarah then asked, “Why” Andrew replied, “Because I don’t want to worry them, especially since Lukas is just starting training, I want him to slowly ease his way to what I can do and not have to suffer how I did when I started training.” Sarah then said, “Well thanks for telling me what is going on. If there’s anything else,” Andrew then cut her off and said, “Actually, can you come to my sparring match tomorrow. It will make me feel better if you’re there and I won’t feel like I might hurt my father with my new powers.” Sarah accepted and left Andrew then went home and immediately went to bed skipping dinner the next day Andrew and his father went to the old cave and Sarah was there sitting a safe distance away. Andrew’s dad then said, “Alright, this is going to be hand to hand combat and whoever taps out first wins.” Andrew then said to himself, “Alright, just calm down if I can make him tap out I win and my new powers won’t go crazy on Dad.” Andrew’s dad then shouted, “Fight”. So Andrew and his dad charged at each other and Andrew got the first hits and he was aiming for the face so that he could possibly hit his dad so hard he might get stunned, and that exactly happened so then Andrew put his dad in a headlock and Andrew got his hopes up but then Andrew’s dad reversed the headlock and put Andrew in the headlock. Andrew didn’t know why he didn’t tap out so his dad could win and it would be over but Andrew’s instincts were to keep fighting and then it happened again, Andrew got his powers back but it felt different this time,Andrew felt his consciousness fade away and then Andrew broke out of the headlock and then his dad tried to punch but Andrew caught it and then threw him into a rock. Sarah knew what was going on so she ran to Andrew and put him in a headlock and said, “Andrew come back to me, please calm down.” After a little bit of struggling Andrew regained consciousness and said, “What happened?” Sarah then said, “Your powers took control of you and you injured your dad pretty badly.” Andrew was so scared of what he had done he ran off and didn’t look back. Sarah chased after him to support and help him but when she found him she saw that he was talking to someone and she could tell by Andrew’s stance he didn’t know who the person was but then she saw Andrew calm down so that’s when Sarah jumped out at Andrew and asked, “Who is this” while she was holding a sword to the stranger’s throat. Andrew replied, “I don’t know. He says he can help me control my powers but I don’t trust him because how would he know about my powers.” The stranger then said, “That’s my power. I know everything.” Andrew then said, “Calm down.” “Give me time to think.” Then the strange man said, “How about your girlfriend watch the training I give you.” Sarah got mad because she heard the sarcasm in his voice but Andrew said, “How about she gives me the training and you instruct us on what to do because if I hurt you I won’t feel as bad about hurting her.” The stranger then said, “Fine, but know this. The training will be intense.” Then Andrew and Sarah left and on the way back to the cave Sarah said to Andrew, “Do you honestly believe him?” Andrew then said, “No I don’t but if he can help me control my powers I have to try.” Then Sarah said, “I don’t think you need him to control them.” Andrew stopped walking and asked, “What do you mean?” Sarah continued, “I mean that your powers only activate when you’re in danger, get really focused, or when your instincts kick in.” “And that dream you have. It might be warning you that you need to control yourself.” Andrew then asked, “Well until I learn how to control my powers should I head back to the city?” Sarah replied, “Why shouldn’t you.” Andrew then answered, “Well, because, what if my powers go crazy again. I might hurt or even kill someone.” Sarah then said, “Well you can’t stay out here. What if you get attacked and need help.” Andrew then replied, “Well if you’re right about that and my powers. Then my instincts will tell me to fight and my powers will come back and I will beat whoever is crazy enough to attack me.” Sarah then said, “What about your parents? They’ll be worried sick.” Andrew then yelled, “They’re already worried sick!” Sarah got quiet, she knew that Andrew was just beating himself up so he didn’t mean to yell at her. Andrew then said in an angry voice, “I’m staying in the woods.” Sarah then yelled, “Maybe you should since you’re becoming the monster that you fear the most.” Sarah was so mad that she stomped off but before she could leave Andrew yelled, “What’s the monster I fear the most?” Sarah then yelled back, “Yourself.” Then she stomped off saying, “Once the real Andrew is back, come talk to me.” Andrew was so mad that the stranger was able to sense his anger so he sent thirty-five shadow monsters to attack Andrew. Andrew was walking to his cave until he found out he was being followed then he stopped and all the monsters attacked. Andrew was so angry that when he was getting ready to attack with his powers coming into play but this time they were more powerful but Andrew didn’t care. He let his consciousness fade away and fought all the monsters and when he was done he tried to regain consciousness but he was even able to get close to take control of his body. This time his powers had complete control but he was able to look at his hands and they were covered with the black blood of the shadow monsters. Sarah was right, his biggest fear was himself and now he can’t even control himself. Then the stranger came and said, “Your powers finally gained control of you. Now I want you to attack Pokake.”
