Prologue
Each day I would find myself looking over my shoulder, scared and nervous of who or what was close on my trail watching me. They hid amongst the trees as I strode down the hill to my house at the end of the street. It was the hairs on the back of my neck that would stand on end when I knew they were getting close, whoever they were. At each snap of a twig or rustle of the leaves I stopped short, my heart beating loud enough you could hear it for miles. My breath caught in my throat choking and depriving me of air. But each time I turned to face this mysterious figure I saw no one, no evidence of anything but something was still constantly nagging at me. Like they were taunting me, knowing I couldn’t see them, but they could see me, and they would always be watching.
I know it sounds crazy but there was definitely someone following me, I’m not making this up I swear! Little did I know we would come face to face a week later, and everything would change...
