Beep,beep,beep....

I lazily snoozed the alarm and went back to sleep. Hoping to get 5 more minutes of sleep before my alarm will buzz again, I covered myself with quilt.

Agh....why does it have to be this way every morning...why can't I get more sleep and dream about my knight in shining armour a bit more...

Beep,beep,beep.

Frustrated I threw the covers and sat in bed. I turned off the alarm. It was already 6.35 am. Looking outside the window I got a clear view of New York city. Its not the place I was born in but definitely the place I will die as a bondage labour for sure".

If not due to my unimaginably boring job than due to my untimely sarcasm.

Getting up from bed I made my way to the attached bathroom and got busy getting ready for the day. If there is to be any award for fastest bath, sure I am going to get the winner. Wearing a knee-length pencil skirt and a peach blouse I quickly did a fast touch up to my face and left the house.

Locking the front door of apartment, I made my way out of the building. Living in the heart of the city has its own perks. My office is just 3 blocks from my flat, so I usually walk till there, meanwhile grabbing my coffee in the way.

Crossing 53rd street, I entered Starbucks and ordered my usual cappuccino of the day and started walking towards the office.

As my office building came in view, I glanced at my watch to see the time and hit a wall in the process. But only that was not a wall, but a person. A very tall, angry looking guy, looking straight into my eyes as I had spilled my coffee on his very expensive looking suit.

jo987_123: This is a good story, but it needs a good editor to go through this iteration and fix the mistakes. The pov changes from 1st person to 3rd person, often, and sometimes within one sentence. It needs a liberal sprinkling of punctuation marks throughout, and a decision needs to be made about the char...
