Interesting story, but events do not feel lived by characters.
"Story events feel disconnected from the characters in most cases, which means readers have a hard time relating to the events also. The virus on earth destroyed so much, but no emotion, memory, change of situation was discussed. That lack rolls through the story. The pronouns him, his, he for males and her, she, hers for females are just alternated in sentences not relating to the characters being written about."
