"I'm sorry."

"You shot me!"

"It was an accident."

"Sure, sure. I'm assuming blowing up the building was an accident too."

As Kian looked into the unblinking heterochromatic eyes of the person responsible for the most recent attempt on her life, she had to wonder somewhere in the back of her mind whether the twisting feeling in her gut had to do with the bullet currently lodged there or her festering crush on Arrow.

"That may or may not have been intentional."

"Arrow!"

"Yes?"

"You can't just go around blowing up buildings here!"

"From my understanding of human history, this is something that happens quite often between your species."

"You're going to get us labeled as terrorists!"

"I would very much delight in being terrored."

"Feared, Arrow. You want to be feared, not terrored. God, it's a wonder you haven't gotten us arrested yet."

"Believe me, I've been trying my best."

Kian starts hobbling as fast as comfortably possible in the direction of a red cross in the distance, feeling a shiver crawl down her spine as Arrow throws an arm around her shoulders as easily and smoothly as they have done everything else in the human world thus far and stroll alongside her.

"I loathe you."

"You summoned me."

"By accident."

"You keep me within your sights at all times."

"To make sure you don't break the goddamn Eiffel Tower!"

"I believe you have developed an affection for my presence."

"In your dreams."

"Demons don't dream."

"I'm going to kick you in the balls."

"Demons don't have balls either."

"For God's sake, I'll kick you somewhere and it'll hurt and you'll stop antagonizing me."

The small, annoyingly perfect little smirk Arrow gives her almost makes Kian grateful that they're stuck with her.
