Lonesome Nightly Websearching

It’s (current year), you’re (age) years old now yet you find yourself surfing the internet to satisfy an old interest. creepypastas, you had been big into them but not in the average way. you weren’t looking for a spook or an uneasy read, you wanted something some would say is more unhinged; romance! yes, it was a bit of an oddball thing but something just drew you back into it. you missed the time you spent in a fantasy, a daydream at times, just reading away at the scenarios with the horror stars. maybe it was for nostalgia or maybe it was this dry love life of yours driving you to be a little delirious. either way, you try navigating this site and that site. even trying a new site or two but nothing is fitting your new criteria. sure when you were younger grammar and plot lines hardly mattered but now this standard seemed to prevent you from finding a story you could really get into.

“Oh,” you find yourself saying aloud as you come across a post with a link.

“Creepypasta fans <3 click here for some real ;) material!” you let out a sad huff, is it worth? maybe you should let old habits die.

“Maybe not,” you say with a sly smile as you click the link excitedly. it takes you to a website shrouded in black with white text that reads, “Which fine Proxy Agent will you choose to be your boytoy?” underneath are profile pictures with familiar names above each one. this is strange, however, it doesn’t look like artwork and if it is what a talented artist to make them look so life like!

“How immersive,” you giggle and scroll through the site options. you list them aloud, “Liu, Jeff, Helen, Tim, Brian, Ben, and Jack!”.

the portrait drawings displayed the classic men you remember from your previous endeavors into this fandom, you’re not sure why the names listed are tame and almost normal presenting. at the end of the crew list you see another clickable option, “Various/All”. you brush off the question of if this is more of a dating sim than a fanfic and go back over the options. you’re really not sure who to stick to and can’t recall ever staying drawn to one character so ultimately you decide to go with the various option! it seems easier than trying to sift for one suitor and a bit more fun. after clicking, a yes or no pop up reads, “are you sure?”, underneath stating, “this is a bigger commitment and may be overwhelming for you, y/n.” you let out an uneasy sigh and freeze. that’s your name, specifically your name. you ponder leaving the site, yet can’t help but stay to try and rack your brain on why this would be. you don’t remember a point in which you manually inputted your name, maybe it accessed your information without permission? you try to reason in your head, this is freaking you out but it is creepypasta. that’s the whole shtick, right? if the site has your real name who knows what other private information it’s accessed and it’s too late to back out now. slightly relunctant and with a false sense of security you move on and hit ‘yes’. immediately you feel dizzy, your head and eyes get heavy and your vision starts to go spotty. ‘am i blacking out’, you think, panicked. there’s no time for any further thoughts.

you come to in bed despite having last remembered being cozy on the couch. you’re so groggy you just lie on your back waiting for this fog in your head to dissipate. a knock on the door gives you a jolt and you prop yourself up with your elbow. now looking around, this isn’t your room at all. despite it being dimly lit you can still make out it’s not yours and panic begins to set in. you don’t even know what to think, how to think and another round of knocking makes you jump as much as the first time. on the verge of crying from so many emotions you frantically pat around yourself for your phone, not finding it you fully sit up now as a voice from behind the door speaks out.

“i think i hear you moving around in there, can you let me in?” it’s a man, his voice sounding lighthearted but unfamiliar to you.

“come on,” he whines, “don’t coop up, come see us!” you can hear his smile, you’re not smiling at all.

“i don’t know who you are,” you answer, choking up.

“wait, come here. open the door and come talk.” there’s a bit more seriousness in his tone but not much. you find your legs over the side of the bed but have a feeling you can’t put much trust into them this second.

“who are you? why would you bring me here?” you plead, closing your eyes trying to keep a steady mind.

“Ben,” he chuckles, “ and you brought yourself here.”

“like hell i did!” you shout back, the glee in his voice stricking your nerves. with no answer, you find an overall steadiness and stand, making your way to the door. you try thinking if you know any Ben with that voice but no one comes to mind. you’re hesitant to open it, and instead try to listen carefully. all you hear is distant murmuring. feeling like whoever is out there may be down a hall, you slowly find your hand on the knob and quietly find the small slit to unlock it. having it ready to open you listen more; still murmurs. you start to crack it open and met with a wall ahead you look to your left and find no one. peeking outside and around the door to look to your right you find a horrid sight. a blonde man with a pale complexion is chatting with another who’s skin is much more fair, but the side profile of this dark haired man is unsightly. despite his medium long hair over his shoulder, the wide open flesh wound on his cheek peeks through. the blonde man’s gaze finds you and it’s just more horror. the blood dripping down his cheeks from his dark eyes is unbelievably noticeable despite the distance. and as the other turns to face you too his mutalated face fully exposed, and the red of the wounds are complimented by the stains on his white hoodie. you can’t even find a scream to let out and pulled the door shut again with more force than zeus could ever match. your hands shaking, you hurriedly lock it back up and cover your mouth as footsteps approach. your legs give out at this point and you can physically feel your mind cracking.

Mir tun die Herren in der Geschichte fast leid, die Frauen sind reine Naturgewalten. Lustig, verschmitzt, offen, direkt. So schön. Danke für diese Geschichte und das wir sie l...

Obsidian: He's hilarious. Like, actually. I loved it. You're writing style is great, although you could do with a few less murmurs and mutters. I know it sounds critical, but I have the same problem and I hate it. Overall, it was one of the best stories I've read on here so far. I liked it better than those M...
