You're All On Your Own And You've Lost All Your Friends

Iroha was a coward. She knew that first hand. She also knew she was stupid, she hadn't thought for a second that Mikado would kill Hajime, and it shocked her. Iroha realized what she was getting into as a void, but she really wondered if she should just try to live her life instead of finding utsuro. Though the divine luck had saved her, it had also changed the girl in drastic ways. She knew it had. Iroha would have never agreed to kidnap a bunch of people and have them kill each other if the divine luck hadn't ruined her life. However, she knew she couldn't blame it on the divine luck, it had saved her after all. However, Iroha was having serious doubts that her fear of returning to the orphanage unwanted was worth commiting this harm.

Iroha shouldn't be enjoying spending time with Teruya this much, she knew she was just doing this because he was a threat, but she couldn't help it. Teruya was just so much fun to be around and it was nice to just have someone to make small talk with. When she didn't have to worry about being a void or thinking about killing, just spending time with a friend? Iroha almost cursed herself for thinking that word. Iroha knew this wouldn't last forever. Mikado had told her several times that putting Teruya through this was a punishment for exposing him, but he would kill Teruya before he became too much of a threat. Iroha refused to think about those words though, choosing to spend her time with Teruya having fun even though she was supposed to be watching him to make sure he hadn't gotten his memories back prematurely.

Iroha felt very guilty for being relieved, since she knew she shouldn't be. Iroha had liked Kokoro, even though she was afraid of being exposed, but she couldn't help but be relieved Emma had killed before Iroha had to. Iroha felt awful when she saw the look in Emma's eyes. The look of having taken alive, she saw it in Hajime's eyes before. Iroha at the moment was sure she wasn't too faf gone, though she already hated herself for this. When she saw that look in Emma's eyes, she knew that was when she would be pushed past the breaking point, when she had taken a life. Iroha felt horrified about that still. She hoped it would never happen, but she knew her time was coming soon, that Mikado was expecting her to make things up.

Iroha almost hit herself that time. It was bad enough during Emma's trial, but at least Kokoro had kind of deserved it. She did experiments on her own baby. But Setsuka didn't deserve this in the slightest and neither did innocent Hibiki. Iroha almost threw up when she heard about what Hibiki's sister was doing to her. Iroha knew this wasn't fair in the slightest though. Maybe Kanade had deserved to die, but Hibiki definitely didn't! Iroha once again wanted to protest, but she was to afraid to. Too afraid to speak up. Too afrait to do the right thing. Iroha really didn't want to feel relieved, but she knew it would be ten times worse to have to kill some one with her own, trembling, hands.

Iroha did her best to avoid what Mikado was saying while he raged at the painter. Iroha didn't care much when her superior called her stupid. She didn't really care much as he ranted about her uselessness, but one thing he said made her worry. He had called her out her because he wanted her to kill. Iroha felt sick at the idea, killing sickened her more than she could ever imagine, but she knew that was why she was here. Iroha knew though, that she wouldn't be able to avoid her crimes for long. Mikado however told her one more thing that shocked her more than anythin, apparently Nikei had betrayed them. Iroha admitted to herself that wasn't something she had expected. Iroha knew Nikei didn't like Mikado, but he was the most brilliant planner out of all of them, with manipulating skills that came close to Mikado's.Iroha had thought Nikei had been her friend, but the divine luck had changed him more than all of them except maybe Mikado.

Iroha stood in the dark hallway trembling. She should have known this was a bad idea, but the idea of killing someone had scared her so much she had gone to the only one she thought could help, Nikei. She knew it was cowardly, if Nikei did kill someone in her place, he would die after all. However, Iroha was too much of a coward. She didn't really blame him when Nikei rebuffed her and turned her away, she felt like she deserved it anyhow. However, she did worry at the dark look on his face. Iroha once again cursed herself for thinking these things, but she already felt the side-effects of the divine luck on her, no she had for a while now.

Iroha backed away, completely shocked when Nikei revealed himself to be a void in front of everyone. Iroha herself wished she had that kind of courage, but she knew she was too weak to do such a thing. Every time Iroha thought about switching sides she remembered what Mikado would do to her, and she remembered that miserable life at the orphanage. If the divine luck disappeared from all those others, Iroha didn't even want to imagine what her life would be like if that small semblance of hope dissappeared from hers. When Nikei told everyone Teruya coudn't be trusted though, Iroha knew something was up. Iroha knew the only reasone Teruya was hear was so Mikado could punish him for exposing him. Why was Nikei trying to make Teruya out to be the bad guy, if he wasn't in line with Mikado? Not that Iroha cared about Teruya..they were on opposite sides of this battle. Iroha was a void, she knew whatever goodness she might of still had in her would be wiped away as soon as she took a life.

When Teruya locked them up, Iroha knew something was really wrong. Iroha knew Teruya wasn't in league with void, and probably would be the key to them escaping if they worked together with him. Iroha also knew he wouldn't act like this unless he had a reason, but no-one was going to trust him right now. When Iroha saw Teryua's expression though, she reconized the emotion right away. Not anger, hatred, or evil, but fear. Just fear. While everyone else tried to find a way to escape, Iroha approached Teruya. "Why are you really doing this Teruya?" She asked, and she could see him look at the floor, his defenses shutting down. "Someone told me this was the only way to prevent further murders. He told me he was the only one I could trust." Listening to what Teruya said, Iroha was pretty sure she knew who told him that, but she wasn't sure if she should approach him about it.
