Chapter 1: Tragedy of the Lycan King & His Queen
The sun was setting over the kingdom of The Luna Lands, casting a warm glow over the sprawling castle that served as the residence of their Łýçæņ hybrid king, Lucian Luna. The day had been long and tiring for Lucian, as he had spent most of it attending to the affairs of his kingdom. But as he approached his chambers, he felt a sense of relief knowing that his beloved wife, Şïłïœņę, awaited him inside.
As he opened the door, he was met with the sweet fragrance of Şïłï's favorite flowers, the purple and white lilacs, that had been carefully arranged in a vase on their nightstand. He smiled to himself, knowing that she had gone out of her way to make the room welcoming for him.
But as he turned to face her, his smile faded. Şïłï was sitting on the edge of the bed, her face etched with worry. "What is it, my love?" he asked, sensing the tension in the air.
"There have been rumors of rebels plotting against your rule," she said, her voice trembling. "I fear for your safety."
Lucian took her hand, gazing into her eyes. "You worry too much, my dear. I have the strongest warriors in all the land protecting me."
"But what if they're not enough?" Şïłï asked, her voice rising in panic.
Lucian knew there was no reasoning with her when she got like this. So he decided to change the subject. "Come, let's not worry about such things tonight. Let's just enjoy each other's company."
Şïłï smiled, and they spent the night lost in each other's embrace, the warmth of their love filling the room.
But little did they know, their idyllic life was about to come crashing down around them.
The sound of shattering glass rudely jolted Lucian awake. He immediately sprang into action, grabbing his sword and rushing towards the sound. As he entered the main hall, he was met with the sight of his fellow Łýçæņ warriors lying lifeless on the ground, their blood staining the marble floor.
Lucian let out a fierce growl, knowing that he had to protect his family. He ran towards his chambers, his heart pounding in his chest. When he arrived, he found Şïłï frantically packing a bag, her eyes filled with tears.
"We have to go, Lucian," she said, her voice shaking. "They're here to kill us."
Lucian knew what he had to do. He quickly grabbed the bag and ushered Şïłï and their children towards the hidden door that led to the secret passage they had prepared for just such an emergency.
But as they made their way through the passage, they heard the sound of footsteps echoing behind them. Lucian turned to face their pursuers, ready to fight to the death to protect his family.
But it was too late. The rebels had caught up with them, and Lucian was quickly overpowered. He watched in horror as Şïłï was bound to a wooden stake, surrounded by a pile of timber.
"Please, let her go," Lucian pleaded, his voice cracking with emotion. "I'll do anything you ask."
But the rebels were merciless. They lit the timber, and Lucian could only watch as his beloved Şïłï was engulfed in flames.
In that moment, Lucian knew that his life would never be the same. He had made a promise to his dying wife that he would protect their children at all costs, and he intended to keep it. As he watched Jess and Raytheon playing in the meadow, he knew that they were his reason for living.
But Lucian also knew that he could not protect them alone. He needed help, and he needed it fast. The rebels were still out there, searching for any trace of his family. He had to find a way to keep Jess and Raytheon safe, and he had to do it quickly.
Lucian stood up, his resolve strengthened. He would not let his wife's sacrifice be in vain. He would protect his children, no matter the cost. With a deep breath, he turned and began to make his way back to the castle, his mind racing with plans and strategies.
As he walked, Lucian felt a surge of anger and determination. The rebels may have taken his wife, but they would never take his family. He would make them pay for what they had done, and he would do whatever it takes to ensure that Jess and Raytheon would never have to fear for their lives again.
The sun had set by the time Lucian barely escaped witnessing his wife's tragic fate, but he was not deterred. He knew what he had to do, and he would not rest until it was done. With a heavy heart, he made his way discretely to Sylvie's home deep in forests, his mind focused on the task ahead.
As he neared the handmaiden's humble abode, Lucian's mind fell on the vision of him and Şïłïœņę, earlier that night lying in their bed. He felt a pang of sadness, but also a sense of determination. He would make sure that their love story was not forgotten, and that their legacy would live on through their children.
With a deep breath, Lucian raised his hand to knock just as the door was swung open abruptly by Sylvie. She ushered him in hurriedly and surveyed the view outside cautiously before shutting the door turning her attention to her king. Lucian dragged himself to sit down at a nearby desk and began to make his plans. Sylvie's heart was aching for her sire, whom she had served since she was just a mere pup, yet she dare not disturb him but only wait patiently until he needed her assistance as she always obiendiently obeyed. Lucian knew that the road ahead would be long and difficult, but he was ready for whatever lay ahead. For Jess and Raytheon, he would do anything.
