Prolouge | Your Majesty
Author's Pov
A smile formed in her glossy lips after seeing the person she's been looking for.
The sun is setting and he's sitting exactly Infront of the sun, wearing sunglasses as he place his arms on top of his manspread knees.
As the wind hustled and blow, he quietly sat at the sand as he let the air fly his hair back.
"Hey."
A black haired approached with a small grin before tapping his shoulder and crouching beside him.
"What you doing, handsome?" She chuckled softly and sat beside him. Leaning her head on his broad shoulders as she watches the sun slowly touch the end of the water.
The black-haired guy beside him did not answer. He stayed quiet, watching the sun as he leaned his head on top of hers.
The silence between them did not make things awkward. The silence was calming and full of warmth.
Her eyelids were getting heavy as a struck of drowsiness made her yawn as she moved closer to his cold body.
"Blythe..." he softly called her name and ruffled her hair.
"Hmm?"
"Ain't it beautiful?"
Blythe confusedly looked up, her drowsiness quickly fading. She watched as he took his sunglasses off, the wind blowing his bangs away as his deep blue ocean eyes shone.
"The sunset.." He stopped and stared at the sun, a beautiful smile forming on his lips before making eye contact with Blythe. "It looks beautiful, doesn't it?"
Blythe stayed quiet and still. She turned her head and watched as the sun dip down Into the horizon, touching the vast ocean as it set ablaze in a glorious conflagration. Blazing with beautiful colors but producing no warmth. She could only watch in awe as the last beauty of the sun could be seen before the death of the day occurs.
She looked back at him after getting lost in her world. Accidentally meeting his beautiful eyes. While staring into his eyes, Blythe was lost, and she could feel herself sink and drown and die as she continued to stare into his eyes.
"Y...es" She muttered after hesitating whether to answer or not. "The orange and yellow and pink hue mixing together looks aesthetically pleasing in the eyes of someone dear. The reflection of the skies and sun in the vast ocean looks as calm as you do." She smiled before looking away with a small smile she's trying to hide.
"The sunset is bewitching... just like you."
As cliché as it sounds, it felt like the world has stopped for Blythe. She was happy to be around him, his cold Stares were bringing warmth to her. She wanted to be around him.
Blythe was blushing hard. She was hiding her face behind the palm of her hands, her rough blushing cheeks gliding with her delicate soft palm. It was always like this, her ears, nose and cheeks would turn red and rough every time she'd blush.
"You look funny, Philo." Aylin chuckled huskily as his eyes crinkled. His cold tone earlier disappeared, he looked soft and easy to approach as he smiled and chuckled.
Blythe's panic disappeared and her smile popped up again. As his hand slowly reached and tucked his bangs behind, covering his ocean-like eyes, a grimace appeared in her face as she aggressively twisted his ear.
"You think I'm funny? You better act properly around me, Ice. Your life is at stake with me, so watch out for the words you 'are' using and 'will' be using." I threatened and clung to his arm.
"You talk as if you could kil– Fuck. That hurts..." He screeched in pain after receiving a poke in the side. He quickly bent his body as he cupped his side while scrunching his nose in pain. "Damn.. you should be banned from breathing, you harmful thing."
I rolled my eyes at his annoying and dramatic speech. While looking over him, the way he stared was judging and that was annoying me.
I slowly raised my fist as I stared at him with a glare. If looks could kill, then this guy would be inside a sack floating under the ocean.
"What?" He pouted as he leaned himself away with a teasing but horrified chuckle.
"Shut up, Ice. Annoying~" I sighed and leaned my head on his shoulder which he did not avoid. "Why do I still even put up with you, gosh, you're annoying."
As he looked at me, with a grin he answered, "You love me, that's why..."
"No, I don't," I answered as my smile continued to grow wider.
"Whatever floats your cruise ship." He chuckled and leaned his head on mine as we continued to stare at the sun setting.
"Blythe... Wake up! They're here!"
My eyes burned as I forcibly open them, squinting while rubbing my eyes to get a clearer view of who had ruined my sleep.
"Huh?" I muttered confusedly after seeing her terrified face plastered Infront of me.
"They're here. Your 'family'"
My eyes widened as I quickly stood up, forced to wake up from my slumber. "Where are they?" I jumped out of my bed lazily.
I quietly followed her down the stairs as I rub my necklace. Trying to ease myself from all the anxiety I get, sweating and having time to walk as my nervousness is resulting to my feet being paralyzed.
"Are you sure?" Nokomi asked on the last step of the stairs.
With no hesitation, I answered. "Yes. I am."
She nodded with a small hesitant smile before grabbing me by my wrist and dragging me to the living room where everyone crowded.
"So? Where–"
Their head quickly turned around to my voice and the resemblance between us was what made me realize. Maybe we are family...
Their natural black hair and electric blue eyes were one of the most common physical characteristics we have.
What confuses me though was the familiar face I'm seeing Infront of me.
"Blythe..." The old couple spoke and quickly gave me a warm hug. I stood frozen at my spot for seconds and I hugged back tightly.
Not until my eyes looked down to her back and realization hit me hard.
"Your Majesty, why do you have that mark on your back?"
