Darkness
It crept through the night
a whisper
chasing day away
my neighbors call it Midnight
my parents call it a demon
I call it Darkness
one night it came to me
it curled its long tail around my legs
staring at me with its green eyes
I scratched it behind its tall pointy ears
petted its soft black fur
telling me it's time for dinner
so I went to the cupboard
and grabbed its favorite cat food
