Introduction
Hi, my name is Blake Paulson, and I assure you I am a friend. And yes, you, of all people, were supposed to find this book. A little bit about me I am the half-blood son of Athena, but I am also the first Dawn Chaser. No, wait! Don’t close the book. I know it’s hard to believe in something new, let alone this farfetched. Let me do a bit of explaining here. I was chosen by the three hunter goddesses, Ishtar, Artemis, and Skadi, to protect nature and mortals. That means you. I am writing this so you can know my tale and many others who sacrificed themselves to save you. From what you are most likely asking, and if that is the case, we successfully stopped Ragnarök. I know you have many questions, and all will be explained as you read. But to start, three misfit half-bloods were selected some eight years ago to uncover the truth of who and what started Ragnarök. You might remember that this is usually a Norse problem. But let me tell you. The end of the world was an everyone problem! Normally, the four god-kings of Egypt, Norse, Greek, and Mesopotamia would step in to prevent this. But due to a three-hundred-year-old deal that was broken. The kings refused to work together. The blame game began, and half-bloods, their godly parents, and even monsters all took sides. This disunity allowed innocent lives to get hurt in the mortal and immortal world. That meant that the three hunters needed someone to bring about unity. So, they chose a young, unskilled, and confused teenager to do this critical task. Yup, that was younger me. But don’t fret. I, just like you, did not get to know all this at first, but let me take you through my story. And along the way, my friends might add their pieces to the puzzle so you can appreciate their hard work. I write this in the aftermath so everything that happened to me, my friends, the gods, and the mortals could all be documented. I’ll skip my boring childhood and set you up for the greatest adventure. It all started on a summer eight years ago, the day I met Artemis.
