Period~ Hakeem's Tale
Today, February 10th, 2023, my daughter Makoa Zahari Allen got her first period. I know I know I know, I shouldn't say it like a apocalypse just happened, but she is my baby girl, and it's very safe to say I didn't handle it right. It was 9:00 and I was just waking up, when I heard the most blood curdling scream ever. I immediatly jumped up from my bed and went to check on Makoa, then my heart dropped because I saw a trail of blood from her bed, all the way to her bathroom. I slowly tip-toed across her room to her bathroom and gently knocked on the door,"Koa?," I said, trying to open the door, it was locked. " Go away," She said, I could hear in her voice she was crying, " Koa, why are you crying, what's happening? Tell me" I said, usaually I'd leave it alone and let it go, but now that I've seen the blood trail, there's no way in hell I'm leaving now," I said I'm fine! Now please, just leave!" She screamed, I was at lost for words for a minute, I've never heard her scream at me that loud before " Makoa, what is happening on the other side of this door? Open the door and let me see if I can help you, please!" I begged on the other side of the door, I didn't know what she was trying to do or what I was gonna be walking into, " O-okay I'll tell you, I think I got my period." She said, that was the last thing that echoed in my head before everything turned black.o
