Chapter 1
Sitting on a hospital bench Avalon is thinking about her past life with hunter and her 1 year of marriage to hunter. their family are great friends and they would meet up a couple times out of the year to vacation together and that's how her and hunter meet. They played together as kids and when she got older she crushed on him, when they were 15 the family got together for vacation. Hunter and Avalon went to the fair together and while they were on the Farris wheel hunter confessed to her that he has a crush on her which she confessed that she also has a crush on him and that's where they had their first kiss. The 2weeks they spent together things was getting more serious between them, from sneaking off and kissing holding hands under the table and when no one else is around. On their last night of vacation they snuck away to a garden shed and in that shed they both lost their virginity to each other, she can remember his promise like it was yesterday once he got all of his thing up inside of her he didn't move he let her body relax and adjust to him. He broke the kiss "von" she giggles when she heard him calling her that, when they was little he couldn't say Avalon so he called her von and ever sense then her nick name has been von. "Von I promise when we get older I'll come to find you and we will get married and move into a big house," that was the last time their families got together because her parents died in a plane crash. Her grandfather had to take back over the company and he also took in Avalon and her brother to raise them, with her schooling and hunter learning to take over his grandpa's company they lost contact with each other for years.
"The hunter I'm married to now is a monster" she thought to herself, 1 year ago his grandpa albert contacted her grandpa jessie and said that it's time for them to meet and get married. "Grandpa jessie put me on train and grandpa albert picked me up from the train station." She was excited to finally see hunter after all of these years, it didn't take long for hunter to come storming in she stands up and smiles at him but he looks at her with hatred and disgust in his eyes "I'm not marrying her the only one I love is veronica and she will be the only one I will marry" he slams the door shut as he leaves. "I shouldn't have came here" she looks at grandpa albert with watery eyes "I didn't know he has a girlfriend," albert walks up to her and pats her shoulder "it's fine dear once he figures out that your his von he will take everything back." She didn't want anyone to tell him who she is, she wanted to play a trick on him and see how long it took for him to recognize her "looks like the trick is played on me" she said to herself.
Things took a unexpected turn he pulled out of the drive way so fast that the person that was coming down the road didn't have time to stop and smashed into hunters car, because of that accident his spine is messed up and his legs hardly work. When veronica found out that hunter probably wont walk again she left him behind, Avalon felt guilty so she stayed and tried to help hunter as a friend and hopes he would realize who she is but that's not what happened. He tortured her calling her a scheming b*tch blaming her for teaming up with his grandpa to run veronica off, she would be bending down trying to help him with his legs he would push on her shoulders making her fall backwards. He would yank on her hair and if she would eat next to him he would spit in her food "if you want to marry me I as your husband have every right to do anything to you," he would find anyway to make her day miserable.
She slept on the floor close to his bed incase he needed something but he would knock things off of his night stand on purpose so it would hit her, one night he knocked off a cold glass of water soaking her and her cover and pillows. His grandpa had enough and couldn't stand to see her suffer anymore he wanted to tell hunter who she is but Avalon would tell him "it doesn't matter anymore grandpa albert I'm not the one he loves" and she didn't want him to tell hunter. She did reach her breaking point one day he kept her up all night hollering her name and when he went down for breakfast she laid on the couch and fell asleep and while she was sleeping hunter cut chunk of her hair, when she woke up hunter is sitting in front of her he seen her open her eyes he gives her a evil smile and in one hand he holds up a pair of scissors and the other hand he held up her hair. Once she realized what happened tears began flowing out of her eyes while she feels around her head, she told grandpa albert "I can't take it anymore" he agreed he couldn't watch it anymore either, he prepared her train ticket for her but it would be 3 days later "if she would fly she could leave now but she won't get on a plane" he thought to himself.
She walks back in the room and doesn't even look at hunter she goes to the closet and gets her bags out and starts to pack her stuff up, she didn't know what came over him she felt his hands on her waist and she is pulled down on his lap he wrapped his arm's around her "I'm sorry" he said while nestling his nose in the crook of her neck. One thing led to another and they made love that night, after they are finished he wraps her up in his arms and Avalon couldn't help but smile "now this is my hunter" she said to herself she slept peacefully in his arms. Her bliss didn't last long because the next morning he woke her up yelling at her "you disgusting pig I always knew you are a scheming b*tch" he pushed her out of the bed and her head hit the corner of the night stand and he laughed at her. She waited until he went down for breakfast and got the rest of her things out of his room and went to one far away from his, "stupid stupid girl" she said to herself as she curls up on her bed and cries herself to sleep. She didn't appear in front of hunter for the rest of her stay she mostly stayed in her room until today, she went into grandpa Alberts study and picked up her train ticket his phone ranged while she is in there he picked his phone up and his face went from sad to delighted "I'll have him there" he told the person on the other side of the line "hunter can have his surgery now" she smiles "well go on tell him you all have been waiting on this surgery long enough" he walks by her "are you coming?" She shakes her head "no I'm going to finish packing so I can leave" he hugs her "you will always be my family and I appreciate everything you tried to do for him."
The doors opening from his hospital room brought her out of her thoughts she wasn't going to come here but she wants to wish him luck with his surgery and after it, they came out pushing hunter in a bed and going into the surgery room Avalon follows beside of him "I wish" she didn't get to finish when he held his hand up "I wish when I wake up from this surgery to never see your face again" she stops walking as they keep pushing him "as you wish" her tone is cold and distant, the nurses feels awkward when hunter heard her reply he felt complicated then he furrowed his brows "yea right woman like her are always scheming, she put on her good nature and grandpa fell for it but I will not" he said to himself.
