A New Beginning

For over a millenium the human race battled each other of religion, culture and tyranny. Countless lives were lost and cities destroyed.

In the end the world known as Kobol finally came to be inhabital from all the wars and pollution. Mankind would have to find a new home and start again. The remaining 12 cultures and races of mankind decided in the interest of survival they would work together to find a new home world and start again.

Seven long range scout vessels with scientist and landing parities were sent out to find suitable planets that would be liveable for long term survival. They would then return to Kobol and report their findings. After five yahrens only five of the seven search expeditions returned. Two search parties had found only endless space and dead planets. Another had found a dangerous galaxy with waring species that had destroyed one of the other search parties. They just escaped with their lives and a damaged ship to report back. The fourth search party found a promising galaxy with vast planets but were turned back by technical issues with their ship. The last search party went the furtherest and had to risk going through into uncharted void but turned back after fearing they would never be able to charter through the void.

Twenty huge space vessels were built and carried what remained of the human races, plants and animals to a new galaxy not yet chartered. The voyage was dangerous, risky and challenging, but all measures had been taken into account. Ships with produce, plants, water and animals were supplying food to every person and creature in the voyage fleet. The voyage following the original search party that had to turn back, had many disappointments from planets that seem to be liveable at first but had hazards that were not viable for long term colonization. After many yahrens even decades of travelling the human race had found the perfect galaxy complete with twelve planets rich with resources. It was decided that the 12 cultures each choose a planet as their home world and a human council of 12, lead by a president be formed to govern humanity and resolve any issues before they escalated. From that point onwards humanity thrived and worked and lived together with one common goal, to live and evolve in peace and harmony and create a united galaxy that would celebrate humanity in all its glory.

Humanity once again expanded and grew to other regions of the galaxy and other worlds, making new contacts and friendships with different species of the universe. Peace and harmony had finally come to the humans for the next hundred yahrens until they encountered the one alien race that did not want peace or friendship. The race that was not organic but mechanical, the race known as the Cylons.

After accidentally being involved in a conflict between the Cylons and a snow creature species known as the Yuppets. The Humans tried many times to open a diplomatic dialog with the Cylons and change the Cylons thinking. When that did not work, the humans even started avoiding them all together, hoping they could avert a conflict. But the humans were mistaken; they had come to the attention of a race bent on subjugating and destroying all who were not part of the Cylon Empire. After a century of peace the human race was forced to again to revert back to the one bit of history that humans had proven to be very good at indeed, War!

The Cylon Wars had begun and the twelve colonies of humanity created a vast fleet of warships known as Battlestars, along with support vessels and viper fighters to help protect the colonies of worlds and territories the human race now called home. The Battlestars filled with colonial warriors were now the one thing stopping the Cylons from over taking populated planets and destroying mankind. But the Cylons were relentless and they continued their rein of terror against the humans for almost a thousand yahrens and any other species who opposed them. The call for help was sent from planets all over the universe and the Battlestars were being stretched thin. If a plan to wipe out the Cylons was not formed soon, mankind could once again be close to extinction.

With the help of a huge fleet of different species which formed an alliance, the humans under the leadership of the Quorum of Twelve, a council of twelve council members representing the twelve colonies under the flag of the Colonial government, resisted the Cylons. After a thousand yahrens, The Clone Wars as they were known ended, with the Cylons retreating back to their own territory, after being out matched by the alliance.

For forty years it seemed that peace may once again come to the galaxy. But the Cylons did not give up there quest for domination. They only regrouped and waited until an opportunity presented itself. That opportunity came in the most unthinkable form imaginable. The betrayal of a human, who showed the Cylons how to improve their robotic army and defeat different species with new weapons and tactics.

Now the Cylon Empire was getting more powerful and expanding closer to the human worlds with every attack. The time had come for the Cylons to rise again.
