Me llamaste la atención

Recuerdo que ella se sentó frente a mí y vestía una falda rosa que parecía abrazarla por la cintura. Era la chica más hermosa que había visto en mi vida y creo que notó que la miraba porque sus mejillas se pusieron de un rosa brillante que hacía juego con su falda. Mirando hacia otro lado, sonreí para mis adentros y me atreví a ir a sentarme a su lado, pero ella se había ido cuando volví a mirar hacia donde estaba sentada. A partir de entonces tomaría el mismo tren a la misma hora todos los días de la semana hasta que la volviera a ver. Finalmente me dije que el jueves me animaría a hablar con ella mientras esperaba el tren y hasta perdí el autobús para volver a verla.


Mi mamá me llamó más temprano esa mañana y mencionó que me había enviado un paquete y que con suerte llegaría ese día: 11 de marzo. Colgó el teléfono y me di cuenta de que olvidé decirle a mi mamá que la amaba. Mientras cruzaba la puerta me crucé con el cartero que tenía el paquete que mi mamá mencionó. Le di las gracias y puse el paquete dentro de mi casa y comencé a caminar a paso rápido hacia la estación de tren ya que se me hacía tarde y perdería la oportunidad de hablar con la chica.


Apenas logré subir al tren, le sonreí y caminé hacia ella. Tartamudeó mi nombre y todo lo que pude hacer en ese momento fue besarla. Nuestros labios se encontraron y poco sabíamos que estábamos compartiendo un último aliento. Todo lo que recuerdo son los fuertes estruendos de las bombas y los destellos de luz que llenan el tren. La muerte cruzó los vagones del tren y reunió las almas de las 193 víctimas de las bombas, incluidas la suya y la mía.
