Chapter 1
Ellie Altorius has one goal, to find the man that stole the Book of Lehona cut her face and burned down her library. What is the Book of Lehona? To understand we must go back to the beginning.
Ellie turned 16 and inherited the family business keeping care of the Lost Library and more specifically guarding the family secret, the Book of Lehona. The Book of Lehona is one of the books of the lost wizards that can give the person that opens it special abilities. The abilities can be anything from fire to being able to call down a meteor. These books are considered dangerous and must be protected, that is the reason for the libraries.
One day Ellie was working at the library alone as her parents were away on a business meeting with the queen of Arendale Queen Emalynn, they went to ask for help in finding one of the books of the lost wizards. The book in question is The Book of Heron.
This day was business as usual as Shino a boy with blue hair and gold eyes walked in.
“Hey Ells.”
“Hello Shino have you come to finally return your book?”
“Yep!” he said placing down a book which had a whale on the cover.
Ellie took the book and placed it on a nearby shelf.
“Your eyes are very pretty.” Said Shino staring into Ellie’s grey eyes.
“Thanks.”
Shino then left the library.
“I think he likes you.” Said a voice.
Ellie turned to see a girl with long pointy ears and long black hair standing on one of the shelves.
“Gia how many times have I told you not to stand on the shelves!”
“Sorry Ellie.”
Gia is an elf girl that Ellie befriended while her and her father were out hunting deer. She is apart of the Erid elves recognizable by the black tips on their ears. She jumped down and dusted herself off before joining Ellie at the checkout counter.
People came in checked out and returned books as well as used the many computers. Everything was going well until a person in a black hooded robe entered the library. Gia looked worried at the person’s arrival and backed away.
“May you please remove your hood so that we can see your face, those are the rules?” asked Ellie pointing to the sign by the door.
“I don’t want any trouble; I’m just looking for a book.” Said the hooded figure.
“Remove your hood or I will have to refuse service to you!”
“The book is about a wizard.”
A man then came up and punched the person in the face as a woman called the guards.
The punch barely fazed the person, but the hood did come off revealing a man with an eye patch bearing a red sun and long white hair. Ellie’s parents told her to be weary of these men and never help them. These men are called Medallion Hunters and they are after the books.
“Gia run!” screamed Ellie as the man pulled a rod from his robe.
“Since I can’t have the book, I’ll set this Library a blaze in the name of The Order.
Just then something in the counter began making a ringing sound. Ellie opened the drawer to reveal a silver sun shaped medallion. When she touched it, a leather bound grey book with black straps flew from the restricted section of the library and into Ellie’s hand, the Book of Lehona.
