My honest review
"Well that was a rollercoaster of emotions. From the start you have the readers coming up with questions in their heads about where this is taking place, who are these characters that are mentioned. These questions are answered letter by letter, and we see more of the protagonist and her aching heart. The way you wrote the letters really puts across her pain and sorrow, as if we are receiving the letters as he love. It is well written and keeps us guessing until the very end. In terms of the end, it was a twist I hadn’t expected. I had gathered that her love had passed in the war, but I did not see her becoming death as the way it would end! It was a good twist, but one that gave us closure as it did to the protagonist. My only critique would be a couple of spelling errors or missing spaces but they are severely minor and don’t hinder the reading experience at all, they are simply observations. And the other things I would say to you is to perhaps add more depth into the final chapter. It seemed a bit brief and in some places, mildly rushed. You have built up to this moment so pour everything into the last chapter, their emotions, the reunion, relief, all of it. Really expand that chapter and give the readers that last shove into feeling what they feel. Other than that, it was brilliant and I will definitely give some of your other works a read! "
